Character Name: Sergei Ivanovitch Tereshchenko
Codename: Arctos
Country of Origin: Russia
Hometown: Novosibirsk
Ethnicity: Caucasian
Age: 29
Date of Birth: June 15, 1992

---------------------------------------------

Power Explanation: Sergei can shapeshift into a 1274 lbs (578 kg) polar bear, or into a half-man form with slightly reduced attributes. In human form he retains a portion of the animal's strength and remarkable sense of smell. He also possesses accelerated healing (what would take a day to heal takes mere hours and leaves no permanent scarring).

Physical Description: A handsome man with chiseled features who looks a little young for his age in spite of his cloud-white hair. He has icy blue eyes, stands at 6'3", and weighs 174 pounds.

History: Sergei Tereshchenko was born to Russian geneticist Ivan Tereshchenko and heiress Elena Baskov-Tereshchenko. Ivan had high hopes for his son. Presumably this was to follow in his footsteps and become a scientist at Akademgorodok, but he would never say so. Sergei's growing interest in artistic endeavors caused an ever-increasing rift between the two.

When he was 17, his mutation surfaced during a heated argument in which he turned into a bear. He may have killed his father in a primal rage has he not been listening to Mozart at that moment. By the time Sergei went to college at Moscow State University the rift had become full on estrangement, Sergei believing this was in part due to his mutation.

It was there he met his mentor, Professor Dmitri Kozlow. Under Kozlow's tutelage, Sergei's talent at the piano was allowed to truly shine. Kozlow even helped him to get into the Moscow Conservatory. After his education was completed, Sergei quickly became a nationally recognized talent. However rather than simply being a classical pianist, he incorporated elements of modern musical genres into his music to much success across Eastern Europe. His band is named Icebird (or rather птица-льда ).
