June 5 - Lordly Dining?

Postby Ethan Cheng » Tue Jun 21, 2011 1:04 am

Ethan occupied one side of a booth at The Wine Bar at Bank End, the kind of place that people with money went to for some light, casual dining.

"Thank you again for having both of us over. Averi loved seeing a place with so much history." He smiled at a lovely waitress who filled his glass with more of a crisp, dry Italian white, before eating another clam.

"Of course. Still, it was very gracious of you. She wanted to make it this evening, but she was feeling kind of under the weather."

"We might. Definitely for the summer, whenever we finally get our breaks," he said, looking out the window at the warm sunny day. "Possibly not for fall semester, though."

"We might or might not come back for the fall. I would like to stay, especially because of...well, what happened with Victoria. I think it depends on whether Mother wants to keep us smotheringly close or not," he said, smiling just a little.

"Still. And I thought going from Hong Kong to London was a big leap." He ordered a few more small plates when the waitress came by.

"So, what's been going on in Lord Moore's world lately?"

"That's nice, when it's not boring. What's your...power doing now?," he asked, lowering his voice. Not that their conversation could really be heard over the ambient noise anyway.

He seemed content with that answer.

"Perhaps sometime you can come to Hong Kong while we're there. We'd give you a tour worthy of a lord."
