[Lora Zalesky]

"Close. I was twelve," she confirmed.

[Gideon Rede]

"How much trouble did you get in before 12?" Gideon asked.

[Lora Zalesky]

"When you are walking around by yourself and your father is 'that freakish lizard man,'...well, I would say that you would be surprised, but you probably would not be."

[Gideon Rede]

"Knowing what I know now, probably not," Gideon said, "You always hope other parts of the world are different though."

[Lora Zalesky]

"Ukraine is not exactly a shining lamp of tolerance to world. Nor Russia, for that matter, but at least there a lot more minorities there that everyone has to live with every day. My brother is apparently doing all right for himself in Amsterdam, though. Go figure."

[Gideon Rede]

"Oh?" Gideon asked.

[Lora Zalesky]

"Mhmm. Still has the...uh, human girlfriend, too," she said, making a little face at that.

[Gideon Rede]

"Some people really do have no taste," Gideon smiled.

[Lora Zalesky]

"It can spread the good genes around a little, I guess."

[Gideon Rede]

Gideon grunted in agreement as he put the bar back on the rack.

"Out breeding them would be more fun than fighting them," Gideon smirked.

[Lora Zalesky]

She returned the smirk. "I think the 'breeding' part is only more fun for the men in the long run, Мой любимый."

[Gideon Rede]

"True," Gideon smirked, "But perhaps easier in the long run for all involved, Ангел мой. Though we are superior they do outnumber us by a rather significant margin."

[Lora Zalesky]

"Mmm, yes. But there is something to be said for knowing that you're superior to billions," she replied, still smiling.

"So, since we are working off all of these calories in advance, how about bar-hopping this weekend, hm?"

[Gideon Rede]

"There is always room for some bar hopping," Gideon said, "Especially when I'll have excellent company."

"Should we start at Helix so we can get some drinking done before brawling?"

[Lora Zalesky]

"Sometimes, I think that you like the brawling better than the drinking. But that sounds like a plan."

[Gideon Rede]

"I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in that," GIdeon said sitting up, "Perhaps we can make night of it and get dinner first. Hopefully we can continue not having them interrupted by the world nearly ending, eh?"

[Lora Zalesky]

"We have not had that problem nearly as much lately, thank goodness." She thought about it for a second. "Do you know what I'd like?" Of course he would. 'Beef curry,' she thought, grinning.

[Gideon Rede]

"I've heard good things about a curry place over on the riverside," Gideon said returning the grin. "I suppose reading your mind might be considered cheating though, eh?"

[Lora Zalesky]

"Not when that is what I want you to do, sweetie," she said, smirking.

[Gideon Rede]

"I've been trapped, and trained," Gideon said pretending to complain.

[Lora Zalesky]

"And you love it, yes? 'arf, arf'," she said, laughing good-naturedly.

[Gideon Rede]

"More I love the woman who holds the leash," Gideon chuckled.

[Lora Zalesky]

"Please, you like it all," she said with a grin. "I guess I was basically done. See you in hot tub in a bit?"

[Gideon Rede]

"Give me a couple minutes to finish up one last set and I'll be there," Gideon said.
