June 8th: Sunshine

[Sean Hall]

Sean was folding a piece of paper while sitting out on the quad. After a moment who tow he'd created a dragonfly. He held it close to his mouth for a moment before opening his hands and set his now 'living' origami dragonfly free.

He watched his creation fly around the quad humming happily as he did so.

[Coby]

"You seem hyper," a voice next to him said.

[Sean Hall]

"A beautiful day will do that to you," Sean smiled.

[Coby]

"Is that right?"

[Sean Hall]

"The sun shining doesn't make you happy?" Sean asked.

[Coby]

"I don't go 'round flying like a crazy person, no."

[Sean Hall]

"Really?" Sean asked, "Why not? If I could fly I certainly would."

[Coby]

"I dunno. Seems kinda gay."

[Sean Hall]

"Seeing as gay means happy, I suppose you would be right," Sean said.

[Coby]

"Meh," Coby said. "Still is kinda weird."

[Sean Hall]

"Should learn to take life just a bit less seriously," Sean said before holding out his hand to Coby, "I'm Sean by the way."

[Coby]

"Coby," he said, his hand passing through Sean's.

[Sean Hall]

Sean cocked an eyebrow.

"A pleasure," Sean said, "That permanent?"

[Coby]

"Only if I don't want to slam into the ground."

[Sean Hall]

"You crash often then?" Sean asked.

[Coby]

"Well, I normally land first."

[Sean Hall]

"So you crash after landing safely?" Sean chuckled.

[Coby]

"...whazzat?"

[Sean Hall]

"You said normally you land before crashing," Sean said.

[Coby]

"Did I?" he said, scratching his head.

[Sean Hall]

"Now you have me wondering if I'm hearing things," Sean smirked.

[Tala Davis]

Off some distance stood a small female student directing several large men carrying crates labeled "live animal" into Sydney Hall.

"Room 244. Be careful, she's nervous enough as it is!" She hurried over to the largest of the crates yet to be moved.

"Take the small ones...leave him to me. He's already awake."

[Sean Hall]

"Did you hear anything about a circus coming to town?" Sean asked Coby as he got to his feet. The dragonfly he'd animated landed on top of the largest crate, and fluttered its wings.

[Tala Davis]

The crate roared and shook, knocking Tala on her rear.

"Hush, Aolani. It's just a bug. I know you're tired and cramped, Dad promised our rooms would be ready, you can stretch soon."

[Sean Hall]

Sean winced at the roaring, but approached Tala and her roaring box. The dragonfly simply sat still not having instincts to tell it that a shaking thing might be bad.

"You alright?" Sean asked offering Tala a hand.

[Tala Davis]

"Hmm.." She looked up and blinked before she smiled and accepted the offered hand.

"Yes, thank you. Long flight, he's grumpy."

There was a soft "chuffing" sound from the crate and a low feline growl.

"If you're feeling brave..could I get you to push from behind. I need to get him inside and out of this crate soon."

[Sean Hall]

Sean helped Tala to her feet.

"It's a nice enough day that I wouldn't flinch from fighting doom one-on-one," Sean said with a smile before moving behind the box. "I'm Sean by the way, you are?"

[Tala Davis]

"Tala." She dusted her hind end off and took position near the front.

"I've personally have never met Doom, would prefer never to. Knew a girl from Latveria though, too gloomy for my taste."

She carefully pushed the crate into the building and into then elevator, letting Sean stand as she sat on the crate.

"You local or a transplant?"

[Sean Hall]

"Local or at least from England. From Birmingham to be specific," Sean said, "From your accent I'd say you're from the States."

[Tala Davis]

"Ah, figured you were Brit, but England is more then just London." She smiled and touched her nose.

"New York most my life, the state not the city. XI to be exact. My parents are both teachers."

The elevator chimed and the crate "chuffed" again.

"My floor. Thanks for the help."

She pulled at the front of the crate.

"I didn't really want to "wolf out" on my first day."

[Sean Hall]

Sean pushed the crate out of the elevator.

"I doubt anybody would notice," Sean said, "Or at least nobody would really care. There is after all a dragon shifter who naps on the quad, and flies throughout London."

[Tala Davis]

"Hmm, I can honestly say that's a new one for me."

She chuckled and fished out her door key, opening 244 revealed a room rebuilt to look more like a zoo exhibit. Out of place was the tall wardrobe, bed and foot locker, even the built in closet had been converted into hideable rabbit hutches.
