May 26th: Sean's Room

[Sean Hall]

"You were trying to find a quiet place?" Sean asked.

[Altamira Vazquez]

"More or less."

[Sean Hall]

"Did it have to do with your powers or were you just looking to get away?" Sean asked.

[Altamira Vazquez]

"Oh, the latter, mostly. My powers have never bothered me."

[Sean Hall]

"I'd heard some horror stories, so I guess that makes you pretty lucky," Sean said, "I was never lucky enough to have caves nearby when I was younger, but I did wander into the woods when I wanted to get away. Tell me about the caves."

[Altamira Vazquez]

"What would you like to know?

They were...quiet. And usually empty. And serene, almost mystical..."

[Sean Hall]

"What was mystical about them?" Sean smiled.

[Altamira Vazquez]

"You're a spelunker. You must know what I''m talking about," she said, turning it back on him.

[Sean Hall]

"The only sound that of your own breathing and the slow drip of water," Sean said, "The feeling of cool rock beneath your hands. Seeing something that has been there for tens if not hundreds of thousands of years. Wandering through forests of stalactites."

"Mystical hardly covers it."

[Altamira Vazquez]

"Yes, that" she smiles.

[Sean Hall]

"Many things are," Sean said with sly smile.

[Altamira Vazquez]

"If you know the right places."

[Sean Hall]

"And what would be the right place for you?" Sean asked.

[Altamira Vazquez]

"I'm not sure I've found it, yet."

[Sean Hall]

"Where have you looked?" Sean asked.

[Altamira Vazquez]

"Let's just say I've looked."

[Sean Hall]

Sean chuckled now without wincing action.

"The hearts of stars, the ends of the universe," Sean said, "But the right place might just jump out at you."

[Altamira Vazquez]

"That's the hope!"

[Sean Hall]

"It has been my experience," Sean said, "Never quite sure who or what is going to just sit down and say hi."

[Altamira Vazquez]

"You have to roll with the punches."

[Sean Hall]

"If you have my luck that means you roll into a rock," Sean joked. "But I kept rolling and somebody put me back together, so I'd say it worked out alright. Though unfortunately I have nothing to offer her."

"Oh, this isn't quid-pro-quo."

[Sean Hall]

"I'd still like to do something in return," Sean smiled. "Few people I knew growing up would go out of their way to help somebody for nothing."

[Altamira Vazquez]

"You could show me some of these caves," she smiled.

[Sean Hall]

"I suppose I could," Sean said, "Maybe we can find the rocks who beat me up and teach them a lesson?"

[Altamira Vazquez]

"I think I'd like that," she smiled.
