June 4th: Watching the games

Will was in the XUB, cheering on the games on the TV.

"So who's winning anyway?" John asked as he took the next seat over.

[Will Stanton]

"It's a tie," Will explained.

[John Hino]

"Oh. Who are you rooting for then?" he asked, wondering how long it might take Will to notice his new look.

[Will Stanton]

"Just kinda a good game....I dunno. Sara's going for England, of course, and so I oh my god your green."

[John Hino]

"Yep, apparently I'm green under the black," he smirked.

[Will Stanton]

"It's a good color."

[John Hino]

"Gee, that's the last thing I expected you to say," he joked.

[Will Stanton]

"Really?"

[John Hino]

"I imagined you'd prefer purple," he smirked.

[Will Stanton]

"...and lavender scented, right?" Will deadpanned.

[John Hino]

"Sure, why not?"

[Will Stanton]

Will rolled his eyes.

"Watch the game, you lug."

[John Hino]

"I though kicking it into the net was the point... why aren't they?"

[Will Stanton]

Will gave John a crosseyed look. "They're trying to build from the back, get an organized attack going."

[John Hino]

"Well I suppose caution is the better part of valor."

[Will Stanton]

"Yeah...don't wanna do something stupid, do they?"

[John Hino]

Like make things interesting.

"No. They wouldn't," he nodded.

[Will Stanton]

"Caution, caution, THEN strike."

[John Hino]

"Then I must have played it in a past life."

[Will Stanton]

"...eh?"

[John Hino]

"Despite bulletproof armor, I'm a cautious person."

[Will Stanton]

"Ah, true. Conservative to the last."

[John Hino]

"When you're a kid whose skin is burned by light, you have to learn to be."

[Will Stanton]

Will nodded.

[John Hino]

"On the upside, as of this week... I'm not anymore," he grinned.

[Will Stanton]

"Hrm? What happened?"

[John Hino]

"After figuring out how to de-armor, I tested the water... so to speak," he answered, "and... well... no pain."

"Best. Day. Ever."

[Will Stanton]

"How did you figure out how to dearmor?"

[John Hino]

"I don't really know... it just clicked."
