Marcus looked at Rick in amazement before he started to laugh at the news. "Man. That sounds pretty epic! So..did Doom get knocked into some portal or something?" He asked, curiously, as he really knew nothing about what happened.

"Yeeeee-ep, nailed it right on the head. Go Team Xaviers." He clicked a few times on the laptop mouse. "And now, I think I have our flights and itinerary ready. I'm not sure which is more amazing."

[Marcus Kingston]

"I think both are about equal. Though I'm not gonna lie, the saving Captain Britain and the Doctor Doom being gone sounds amazing. I'm sure there's plenty of people that don't have a problem with that."

[Rick Ferguson]

"Latveria is missing their head of state now again, though. Who knows what'll happen there."

He edged the screen over a few degrees. "So, first, we'll be leaving here to go to Seattle. After we visit your parents, I've got Noah lined up to drive us to Vancouver. He'll show us around town and X-CORP a bit, then drive us there," he pointed at a map he brought up, somewhere in northern Alberta. "...to see my family." He didn't sound too thrilled with the prospect. "I still have a few questions for Dad." He traced a finger down the map. "Then we fly out of Edmonton, back to here, to use the tickets Vicki got for us for Christmas. We go down to the South of France, enjoy ourselves there for a while," he said, smiling, "Before taking a car trip over to Venice and see about picking up Nai-...Mariella. Then flying back here again, which I'll have to pay for whenever we get everything cleared with her adoption."

He took a deep breath and looked over at Marcus. "I'm just glad your Mom has money. You don't wanna know how much this would be otherwise."

He leaned in and watched closely as their route and plans were explained. Marcus smirked. "Quite the to-do-list we've got there." He smiled. "It's gonna be really great seeing Mariella. Do you think we're ready..? I mean with school and all.." He asked though it was more for reassurance than not really thinking they couldn't handle it. Marcus chuckled at the comment about his mom.

"Ah yeah. Just one of the many things I've been lucky to been given in life." He lowered his head down to kiss Rick on the cheek. "Though you're by far the biggest reason I'm so lucky."

"I...don't know if we are," he said. "But I just can't let her grow up alone in that orphanage. Even if we have averted that future for ourselves, or will avert it, it's not like she'd still lead a happy life there. Besides, I made her a promise. I told her that we'd find her, and we'd make sure she got the life with us that she should have had. You know, instead of the one she ended up with."

He looked kinda bummed out at that point, but the kiss and the cheek made it a lot better. He gripped one of Marcus's hands.

"I love you."

His closed as he thought about that all of a moment. He smiled and straightened up. "I'm not worried too much. Besides, times like this is where mooching off my mom's rich family comes into play. If we can't figure it out on our own, we've got families that'll help." He placed an arm around Rick's shoulders, returning the squeeze to Rick's hand with his. "We'll have a life together..far different than that hell hole of a future."

He grinned. "Though, it was kinda cool seeing how you looked all grown up and aged by alcohol. All in all, still a hot catch. I'm pretty lucky there too.'

"I was so not hot," he muttered, but he still smirked. "I wonder what's become of us, if they're all still there. I hope I managed to get you to the palace and out of that coma.

"...Man, that sounds weird to actually say."

[Marcus Kingston]

"So you say," Marcus teased before giving a nod in agreement. "I hope so too. Man. It'd probably be hell trying to move after that. I'd of lost so much muscle." He lifted an arm and flexed. "My sexy body withered away."

He smiled. "At the least, we'd be safe in the castle..though I can understand why our daughter didn't go. I do hope she comes back and visits us there."

"Maybe...," he muttered, sounding distracted, suddenly looking like he was staring far off.

"In any case, you know we'll need to move out of here before the next school year starts. I wonder if there any an flats available close to Will and Sara..."

[Marcus Kingston]

He smiled. "I suppose we really shouldn't think about that future anymore though huh? The plan is to avoid that and we'll all have a much better life this time around." Least we hope.

He nodded in agreement. "I'm sure there's something. I wouldn't worry about it."

[Rick Ferguson]

"Nah, we should have plenty of time to move when we get back. We'll just have to make quick work of the house-hunting part." He smiled at Marcus. "It'll be our first real place. Something that isn't a dorm, anyway."

"I'm sure we can probably get some help from the school on the hunting part I'm sure." He smirked and leaned against Rick. "Yep. It was only a matter of time. We're been what..like married since we were sixteen." He laughed at the thought. "HIgh school sweet hearts and all that."

"Which leads me to wonder when we're gonna make it official. So much for this summer," he said, dryly. "Sometime before too long would be nice, though."
