May 26th: The Workshops - Requisitions

[Veronica Freud]

"Well, you did help." Ronnie said.

"If, and this is theoretical mind ya. If I was puttin' a cockpit in there but I was tellin' people it was an AI, I'd have to have a pretty good reason to do that, right? Otherwise people might think it was some kinda evil plot, you know?"

[Deirdre Quinn]

"Ask yourself, if you were in my position would you want to hand any of Mister Strong's current AI an armament, even if it's just riot weaponry?"

[Veronica Freud]

"The one that gave me a hug was pretty nice." Ronnie said softly. "But... you'd be more comfortable with the idea of a manned suit rather than an AI-controlled gynoid?"

[Deirdre Quinn]

"In terms of commanding an armament? Yes."

[Veronica Freud]

"And, theoretically, if I were to fit a cockpit into this chassis, would the knowledge that it was not controlled by an AI be strictly limited and on a need to know basis only with some of the school staff?"

"If that's the way you want to play it, I'm certainly in no position where I'd be inclined to telling tales."

[Veronica Freud]

"Then I will have to take that idea into consideration." Ronnie said. She feigned looking thoughtful for a moment. "It's an interestin' concept that would take some experimentin' to work out. The use of Cerebra fluid crosses the mind, that stuff could, in theory, make for an excellent pilot interface with a power armour. Er, spent fluid that no longer meets the high standards of our exalted telepaths, of course."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"That," she said skeptically, "would require a very good set of plans for me to approve it."

"Then again, perhaps you'll be able to come up with exactly that."

[Veronica Freud]

"Well, I do like to set high goals an' challenge myself." The four inch tall girl grinned. "How many other students have build somethin' seventeen times their size?"

"I'll have the proposal submitted as soon as the design meets my standards Ms. Quinn. You've got my word."

[Deirdre Quinn]

"Actually it's ah... doctor. But to avoid the absurdity of 'Doctor Quinn,' you can just call me Dee."

"Alrighty then Professor Dee." Ronnie smiled.
