May 23rd: Like we could have a Soccer issue without a Riot

[Nick Varkan]

"My deal is I'm against psychic brainwashing, especially of our fellow mutants," he scowled back. "I'd just about rather your bosses have killed them... 'cause they sure as fuck might as well be dead."

[Rouen Coltaire]

"What the fuck are you on, Varkan," he said, angry.

[Nick Varkan]

"Talk to the Menagerie or the bartender for five minutes and you'll know."

[Rouen Coltaire]

"Cal, can you control this guy, or should I eject him--forcefully?"

[Nick Varkan]

"Look. I know your smarter than Needles. So stop being so god damn willfully ignorant and pay attention to what's happening here. If after a few minutes you still aren't convinced something's not right with the 'staff' then I'll leave."

[Rouen Coltaire]

"How bout you just leave now," Wingnut said, picking up Nick, and carrying him towards the balcony.

[Nick Varkan]

"Give me a call when you get a clue," he answered. Wingnut could probably tell at last that, from his breath, Nick might just be somewhat drunk.

[Bobby Bowen]

Bobby gritted his teeth, hoping he wouldn't have to lay out Wingnut. Nick was slopping his mouth, but he was still a teammate.

Right now, He just wanted out.

And with that, Wingnut threw Nick off the balcony.

[Meg A Ohm]

"Shit!" Meg had caught the whiff of much of the conversation, despite trying to look bored. However, once she saw Wingnut's movement, she immediately tensed up. Once Nick went over the balcony (admittedly not the action she had expected), she was flying past all of them moving as fast as she could to catch him.

[Nick Varkan]

And Nick rose up mid-air to meet her.

"You did know I could fly right?"

[Meg A Ohm]

"Yeah," she said in a low voice with a grin and her hands on her hips. "But I wasn't sure if you were conscious or not. Now what?"

[Nick Varkan]

"I'm not that drunk," he smirked, "Now I lay low and hope Wingnut decides to quit being a colossal tool."

"And if I screwed myself out of the gang, so be it. I just... couldn't sit by and even pretend to ignore that shit."

[Meg A Ohm]

"So what do want me to do? Act like I couldn't catch you and you hit the ground? Or that you managed to escape?"

[Nick Varkan]

"The latter."

[Bobby Bowen]

Bobby frowned, looking at the Balcony.

He wished he had thought of that.

[Meg A Ohm]

Mouthing "Good luck", Meg rose back up to land on the balcony, landing lightly with a frown on her face. "He's gone," she said, shaking her head as she scanned for him. "Looks like he flew off before I got far over the side."

[Rouen Coltaire]

"Of course he did! Dude can fly, what, d'y think I was tryin' to kill 'im?"

[Chloe Grant]

"I'm gonna try to get out of here." Chloe whispered, glancing around nervously.

[Narrator]

Guys, I need to know what you're gonna do. Are you run out and go send in the cavalry now, or stay until the end of the party and do it, or decide to stay undercover in an attempt to get higher up the totem pole, or what?

While it had been hard not to notice what had been going on Kat had been gritting her teeth. God knows she wanted to start kicking teeth in but when everyone seemed to slip out she decided to stay. Somewhere there were people directly responsible for this and not having found them yet there were no faces for her to punch just yet. So she just kept to the bar, celebrating. If the others were going to come back with the cavalry it wouldn't hurt to still have someone on the inside and maybe she'd even find the ones responsible to get first dibs on rearranging their faces.

"Of course he did! Dude can fly, what, d'y think I was tryin' to kill 'im?"

"What you were tryin' to do ain't my problem. But since he seem smashed, I wasn't sure just how fast his reflexes still were. The question now is, what do you plan on tellin' your bosses? Not going to look good to lose one."

"Oh, the bosses prob'ly figured on this already."
