May 25: Random Thread cause the Board is Dying

Mira was in the Library reading on a Friday afternoon.

As inefficient as it was, sometimes Madrox enjoyed reading a book at a normal pace. To that end he had come to the library. Quickly locating his desired book, he took a seat at the reading table.

"You read?"

[Madrox Saavedra]

"The slower, more tactile approach has its appeal where novels are concerned," he chuckled.

[Altamira Vazquez]

'You can tell a difference?"

[Madrox Saavedra]

"Much like the difference between conversation and a mind scan I imagine, ethical concerns aside."

[Altamira Vazquez]

"Yes, but, surely, it is all input to you?"

[Madrox Saavedra]

"Isn't it for everyone? What are the senses if not methods of gathering data?"

[Altamira Vazquez]

"Yes, but why take a hundred times as long?"

[Madrox Saavedra]

"I find my imagination takes far longer than simply scanning data. Reading a work of fiction without taking the time to visualize is a wasted effort."

[Altamira Vazquez]

"But that's horrible! That means you think faster than you can think!" she said, aghast.

[Madrox Saavedra]

"Processing data and thought are different things," he pointed out.

[Altamira Vazquez]

"But it is still horrible! EIther you are thinking too fast and aren't peoples or you have to wait for your brain to catch up to your brain! It's tragic!"

[Madrox Saavedra]

"I think you're reading a bit too much into it," he said, smirking a bit at the unintended pun.

[Altamira Vazquez]

"Oh?"

[Madrox Saavedra]

"I'm a human mind in a metal body. There are going to be discrepancies. Perhaps some would call it tragic, maybe even a sacrilege, but to me it is a miracle to be thankful for. If I never been born, this copied mind I call my own would have been lost to the afterlife."

[Altamira Vazquez]

"Nothing is lost in the afterlife," she said, crossly.

[Madrox Saavedra]

"Lost only to the living," he clarified.
