AGAIN with the knocking from Victoria's closet? What kind of secret is in there?

What is...Victoria's Secret?

"What the... I swear, if it's another bloody deer," Victoria muttered, walking over and opening the closet.

And then a spectral ghostly hand shot out, straight for her throat.

Victoria swore loudly, stumbling back away from the closet and tripping, rolling backwards over a chair onto her ass. Still swearing, she held up her hand, struggling to form a barrier to ward off whatever attack was coming.

Whatever it was, though, was powerful--this was no random magics.

The spectral arm and hand tried to get around her shielding, twisting unnaturally as it did so.

"All right, you want to play? We'll play," she growled. She didn't try to block this time. She sent her own power back after the attack, drawing her dagger to fend off the attack the old fashioned way.

With nothing (magical) blocking it, the hand would again approach right for her throat, weaving in at a strange angle

Victoria stabbed at the spectral hand with the enchanted dagger, pouring her own magic back at the source, trying to get her own lock on the caster.

The will of...whomever was on the other line was strong--very strong. This wasn't just some random magics.

Then again, this WAS Victoria's home turf...

Victoria growled, then snapped the knife along the construct, pumping her anger into her power. There was no way that she was going to let something intrude on her home and get away with it. She prepared a curse... not a powerful one, but definitely a persistently annoying one, and at once released it back along the currents of magic attacking her while she tried closing off the conduit into her room.

The knife traveled down the length of the construct, disrupting it and wavering it, causing it to phase out of existence, with a foul odor.

The curse, however, dispersed as it traveled along the way, easily vanishing by the time it reached the closet door.

She couldn't shake the feeling that this? This was a warning.

Victoria gritted her teeth, checking to make sure she was all right. The gauntlet, evidently, had been thrown. That bastard, she really had no doubt it was Doom, had tracked her, had tried to hit her in her own home. Every bit arrogant pride in her started teaming up with every bit of violent maternal instinct to decide that oh, it didn't matter how powerful he was or how powerful she wasn't, Doom was in for it. Somehow.
