Nailah stays quiet while she, maybe a bit nervously, plays with the cup in her hands.

"Though one thing I still don't get." she eventually breaks the silence. "What did you mean with having understood my vision too late?"

"I'm trying. It's just hard to resist the urge to sit in the shower and sob right now. But I really want to believe I'm stronger than that and then I'd just clog up your drains for good anyway and my wings would be ruined for days and it'd just be stupid."

For the first time Nailah's smile turns a bit brighter. "Me too, as weird as that sounds after choosing the opposite. If anything it should make me feel safer..."

Nailah closes her eyes for a moment before putting down her cup. Leaning over she, maybe a tiny bit carefully, pulls Sam into a hug. "I'm not going anywhere."

She's been keeping it together for a while now, to some degree at least, but eventually the best-honed composure crumbles and that time is right about now for Nailah. Hanging on to Sam she starts to sob into her shoulder.

Nailah keeps clinging to Sam, just lettings thinks break their way as tears stream down her face. It takes a long time until the sobs stop wrecking her body.
