There was a mumble of voices from the other side, and some movement. A few moments later, Daniel, wearing a pair of sweatpants backwards, answered the door.

"Oh," he said blankly.

"All right," Daniel said, not arguing once Kyra was the one saying so. He just walked back into the room to grab his keys and his shirt. He neglected to give Kyra a goodbye kiss, but the feeling was there enough that she could tell that it was because he was (surprisingly) trying not to make the situation more awkward for her. Then, shrugging into the shirt, he headed out.

Bobby shook his head, angry and lashing at himself mentally for even thinking he might have a shot at something special, to make something long lasting. And as emotional as he was, it was pretty easy for any psychic to get a reading off of him.

"Look, you and he can go have your little fucked up relationship, and go burn down a city block or whatever. Just don't get the next guy's hope up."

Bobby had so much he wanted to just lash out at her with, but he couldn't bring himself to do it.

He was shaking at this point.

"I just got back from doing some pretty disgusting things undercover, and pretty much the only thought that comforted me was that once it was over, I'd be able to see you again."
