May 10th: Mine?

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

Stephanie had left as quickly as she could without seeming like she was bolting for the door once Daniel mentioned it. She returned a while after Daniel had left and poked her head in the room. "Is it safe to come in?" she asked meekly.

[Kyra Raphael]

"Yeah, he's gone." Kyra said "Sorry about that."

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

"It's alright," she said, coming back in and closing the door behind her. "Are things gonna be okay?"

[Kyra Raphael]

"Yeah, its kind of how Daniel and I roll." Kyra said "We have a big fight, then we patch things up and its good until next time."

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

"Gosh. You guys weren't kidding," she exhaled. "I could never handle that kind of stress. I think there'd be a lot of blood and teeth and screaming involved."

[Kyra Raphael]

"Yeah, thats why Daniel and I were broken up for a little bit." Kyra said "But when I was with Bobby....it was kind of boring, y'know?"

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

"Well. I guess compared to what I just saw, almost anyone could be boring," she smiled lightly.

"Bobby never struck me as a boring guy when we dated back in high school..."

[Kyra Raphael]

"Oh, he was fun to hang out with." Kyra said "And he's a really nice guy. But he's...calm."

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

"I guess that's probably what I liked about him," she mused. "My high school guy before I went to Xavier's was more like Daniel. Firey temper, funny, arrogant...but way more of an ass than Daniel. I still can't believe I dated him..."

Steph looked down for a beat then went back to her story, "But calm is nice...balances out the wilder side of me that tends to get me in trouble."

[Kyra Raphael]

"Yeah, I can see that." Kyra said "That was what attracted me to Bobby at first. Then.......I dunno, I guess I need someone who's crazy is compatible with my crazy."

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

"Your crazy isn't hairy and 6'5" so I can see that," she smiled.

[Kyra Raphael]

"My crazy is still good at throwing shit around the room."

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

"Just promise you won't go Carrie on me, and I'll make sure there's no fangs for you,"

[Kyra Raphael]

"Deal." Kyra said, holding out her hand.

[Stephanie Kaltiera]

Stephanie grinned, and grabbed her roommate's hand firmly. "Now let's watch a movie or play a game and pig out on the quart of ice cream I stuffed into our mini fridge and take our minds of this mess for a while."

"Movie and ice cream sounds awesome to me."
