[Gideon Rede]

Gideon was finishing up a program. One last opponent stood between him and the objective (a briefcase).

His opponent, and Gideon broke his arm. As his opponent stumbled he broke the man's knee before finishing him off with an open handed punch to the face. Then to be sure he hit the man with a spike of psychic energy.

He walked towards the briefcase, and picked it up no sign of emotion on his face.

Having pondered taking Sam up on her suggestion of picking up her 'experiment' on another day Nailah had headed to the Danger Room. Having seen it in progress she had went to sit in the observation deck to wait. Now she was still staring down into the room at Gideon finishing up his 'performance'.

She waited for the simulation to end before pushing the intercom button.

"I see transferring to Cassiel did about as much good as I expected."

[Gideon Rede]

Gideon pulled up his results not turning to face the observation room.

"Take it up with Cassiel," Gideon said, "Or with Morrigan."

[Nailah Weaver]

"Oh I am sure Sam would love to hear about your absolute lack of progress learning anything resembling morals."

[Gideon Rede]

"Practicing skills that have saved my life on more than a few occasions is immoral, eh?" Gideon asked.

[Nailah Weaver]

There's a moment of silence before the door to the room hisses open.

"How many times are you going to claim self-defense when it is more than obvious you strife to hurt humans simply for the sake of inflicting pain?"

[Gideon Rede]

"I strive to cause humans pain, eh?" Gideon asked, "How many humans have I attacked outside of missions, and how many of those were outside the mission parameters?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"Oh if I believed even for a second that you were taking this urge outside of this room we would be talking through a forcefield. No, I am still trying to prevent things from progressing to that point."

[Gideon Rede]

"I have been practicing both lethal, and non-lethal methods of disabling opponents," Gideon said, "Miles has cleared me from psychological stand point. I get good grades. There have been no recent incidents with my powers. I have an exemplary record on recent missions."

"What more do you want from me Professor Weaver? Would you like me to wear an inhibitor? Change my politics? Perhaps you'd like me to be inside a cell?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"While I do believe your politics are despicable, what gave you the impression I was talking about the present?" she says, not without a certain amount of vehemence.

[Gideon Rede]

"You've just justified whatever vendetta you have in a way I can't argue against, or even do anything about," Gideon said calmly, "The only thing I can ask is have you ever been wrong?"

[Nailah Weaver]

"And you are surprised by that? You were let off the hook with a slap on the wrist and since then every time I see you in here you are either needlessly pummeling people into submission or outright killing them, which, if I may remind you, is not something condoned by the program you're in. You want to act indignantly? Be my guest, but don't be surprised if I don't take your lack of respect. Just as you are free to ignore my warning because you feel singled out. Begrudgingly following the rules is not an accomplishment, Mr. Rede."

Nailah isn't particularly angry, but there's a certain amount of 'presence' to her, which is probably helped by the fact that her wings are opened just a bit.

[Gideon Rede]

Gideon doesn't flinch, he's seen worse things than Nailah puffing up.

"Do you know what a coincidence is, Professor Weaver? Check the computer records. And I'm hardly the only student here who has been cut some slack," Gideon said, "Maybe if you had some actual concrete evidence other than a vision, I'd do something other than meet all the requirements the school put out for me."

"If you want me disciplined bring it up with Madison or Morrigan."

[Nailah Weaver]

Nailah rubs her temples with one hand.

"I am not about to get you disciplined over nothing. And while I certainly aren't your biggest fan you seem rather set on the notion that I have it out for you. But there are no such things as coincidences. Your attitude hasn't changed in the slightest and in times like these 'concrete evidence' may already tip the scales in their favour. I am sure you heard from some of your fellow students what consequences that would entail for all of us. I am sorry for your lack of faith, but there is something dark about your future."

[Gideon Rede]

"Why should I have faith in you, Professor?" Gideon asked, "You've proven you have none in me, and the kind of faith you're looking for is a two way street."

[Nailah Weaver]

"If I had no faith in you I would not be talking to you. I find it rather tedious having to provide proof for my visions though. Disregard my word at your own peril but know that you will be the one responsible if you do."

[Gideon Rede]

Gideon looked at Nailah silently for a moment.

"I'll think about what you said," Gideon stated, "That's the best I can offer."

[Nailah Weaver]

Between this and Sergei I almost think I really should take up Cassandra as a code-name. she groans mentally.

"Very well. Not that I should have expected more."
