"I heard," Madison says, tossing the folder on her desk, "A bit of a blow up at a local pub, right?"

"Yeah, some... okay, I'm not even going to pretend to know how she did any of it, but it was Nina. And she left a cute message for us on the body," he said, handing her the phone with the video ready to play.

Madison picks it up and watches it for a moment.

"Well, fuck me sideways."

Walking to the door, Madison opens it and hands it to someone waiting outside, "Trace this. Now."

Closing the door, Madison turns back to Ryan, "It's worse then you think."

"Alright," Madison says, "We're doing our best to keep this quiet but ten people have just been reported missing from London."

"At the site of each of their homes we found these," Madison says, opening the folder on her desk and taking out an evidence bag with a small origami butterfly inside.

"The paper used to make these matches a book we found in Ms. Madaraki's apartment," Madison continues, "A book that was sitting at the origin of the blaze yet was remarkably unburnt. Hamlet. With ten pages torn out."

Ryan remembered Nina's skull, Yorick, and wasn't exactly surprised. "Which ten pages?" he asked, running over all the garbage that'd just been thrown at him.

"Random ones apparently," Madison says, "We were first alerted to all this when one of our students didn't show up for her shift at the infirmary. A....Ms. Isabel Galen."

"When searching her room, we found one of the origami figures," Madison says, "Apparently Ms. Madaraki didn't enjoy being replaced."

"Dammit. Dammit dammit dammit," Ryan hissed. "All right... well, I don't know about her, but that lady?" Ryan pointed at the phone. "The... thing that delivered it to me said 'they all have reflections.' Ran it over in my head for a while... only thing I can think of that'd be that run down and fits whatever he means about 'reflections' is the vampire hideouts we cleared out last fall. Far as I know, at least one of them's still mostly standing."

Gideon entered the room, and placed a cell phone onto Madison's desk. Bandages showed beneath his sleeve as he did so.

Gabriel?

"Sorry for the mess in the Thames," Gideon said, "You might want to see this though."

"...Okay, any idea what's up with the eggs guys?" Madison asks, shaking her head.

Gideon shrugged.

"The thing in the Thames didn't mention anything about the egg. The only thing it said was something about a first kill, and a triple matinee," Gideon said, "She also said something about twenty four hours to find somebody."

"My guess would be that in twenty four hours the egg hatches, and whatever is inside kills the hostage."

A pretty pale Sara knocks on the open door and she seems to be letting her left shoulder hang a little. "The paramedics told me to come here. I... I ran into a woman who died to... to something ripping her apart from the inside."

She pauses.

"I-I think she was trying to tell me to find her kidnapped baby before she died..." she adds quietly, holding out the cell-phone the woman had dropped.

"That was Nina?" she asks, clenching her fists without even noticing. At least for a few seconds until she realizes what that could mean for the people (and the baby) she's kidnapped, which takes the wind out of her sails like a punch to the gut. "Oh god... She said 24 hours... How are we gonna find her in 24 hours?"
