Cal took her hand. "Of course, Ms. McDohl," he said as he walked her in. He pulled her seat out for her so she could sit, giving her the seat that faced the windows overlooking the strip, then took the seat facing her. "Now... if Vegas isn't your thing, we can go anywhere you want after dinner. But as far as dinner was concerned... well, I'll admit, I had to give dinner my seal of approval. And this place got it."
Cal was, honestly, awash in the buzz of the city, even from this height. To his mind, Las Vegas was an electronic sea that his mind had grown used to navigating. True, he could access it from wherever, but here, among all of the casinos and hotels, all of the various establishments, it was like having them all laid out before his mind to touch as he saw fit, instead of swimming upstream through the various electronic pathways to reach them. Already, he was building up an after-dinner fund... or rather, he was adding onto it.
