Name: Jordan “Arachnos” Vanderheim
Age: 19
Power: Jordan is a spider-shifter. In his fully arachnid form, his skin is covered by a flexible, protective exoskeleton, four spider-legs sprout from his back (with web-weaving capability), he has four eyes, and he has fangs with a paralyzing venom. He can partially shift, with the spider traits forming in this order: Eyes, fangs, armor, legs. In his unshifted form, his eyes are solid black orbs, and his strength and agility are greater than that of a normal human, although not in superhuman levels as when he shifts. He can see well in the dark, with night vision developing when he shifts his eyes.
Personality: Jordan is friendly enough, although he usually tries to take a passive approach to things. This is because his mutation, especially when he’s shifted, gives him a predator’s instinct, which he works hard to suppress. He avoids confrontation because of this, working to maintain his control over the more cold-blooded aspects of his personality. He tends to be a bit more aggressive after he’s shifted, the length of time depending on how far he shifts and how long he was shifted.
Description: Jordan is at the high end of average height, about 5’10”, with brown hair, pale skin, and black featureless eyes. He generally wears sunglasses to hide these. He tends to dress well, tending toward darker clothes.
Background: Jordan grew up in Cleveland, Ohio, and was fortunate enough to not develop his powers until he was 16. He barely scraped by through the rest of high school, owing to a lot of skipping to avoid mutant bigotry, since he couldn’t hide his eyes from his classmates. He did, however, learn to use his powers to explore (or haunt, depending on your point of view) the city, earning him the attention of X-Corp shortly before his graduation. After a few months of private courses at X-Corp Paris to make up for his abysmal grades to prove that he was intelligent enough to merit it, he was sent to XU to further his education, provided that he would come in once a month for medical studies, spider-shifters being something X-Corp hadn’t had much opportunity to get baseline tests done on.
