March 18th: Taking a stroll

[Kaylee Williams]

Kaylee was walking along the boardwalk, stopping every now and then at some of the booths. She had bought a big thing of cotton candy, making sure to pull her hand back into a ponytail first. She still had to fight with taking bites of it however. For now, she just stood at the edge of the boardwalk, staring out into the water.

[John Hino]

"Great minds think alike I see," John smiled as he walked up, holding his own cotton candy.

[Kaylee Williams]

She laughed. "Get outta my head." She smiled and leaned up on her tip toes to give the John a kiss on the lips.

"How have you been?"

[John Hino]

"Well. And you?"

[Kaylee Williams]

"Pretty good! I was doin' some Danger Room stuff with Rick the other day. Kinda forgot how fun it is. You know..when you're fighting some badass villian and can't actually you know..die from it."

[John Hino]

"If only my session yesterday with Gideon Rede went so well," he sighed.

[Kaylee Williams]

"Oh? I'm sorry. What happened exactly?" She asked before nibbling idly on the top of the pile of cotton candy.

[John Hino]

"It was a stealth mission. Military base. We were spotted by an unarmed desk jockey AI I apparently had to 'kill' to proceed. I froze."

[Kaylee Williams]

"Why'd you have to kill him? Just knock him out. Tie him up somewhere or hide him. Really..was that in the DR? X-men don't roll that way." She said all ganster, trying to be playful about it.

"We don't jack up innocent people. There must of been some other way."

[John Hino]

"I know. Just try telling that sociopath Gideon that."

[Kaylee Williams]

"Nah. That doesn't sound like too good of an idea." She smirked. "Though, it kind of bugs me if that's how the mission was programmed to be. I wonder if that was already in there or if that's something by Gideon's design."

"Anyway, I'm sorry it didn't go so well. You know, you can always train with me and Rick! It's always pretty good sessions."

[John Hino]

"I think I'd enjoy that," he smiled.

[Kaylee Williams]

Kaylee smiled. "Great! I'll let Rick know." She stepped over to John's side, slipping her arm around his and holding onto it. "So, wanna walk around a bit? Maybe get some food that's not junk."

[John Hino]

"Sounds like a plan," he said as he took her hand.

[Kaylee Williams]

She gave his hand a light squeeze and started to walk. "So uh..about our date. Sorry if I was a little..forward. I'm gonna throw it out there that I don't think you minded." She smirked.

[John Hino]

"I didn't. I just wasn't expecting it."

[Kaylee Williams]

She smiled. "Okay." She leaned against him as they walked. "So, anything else new with you minus crappy DR sessions?"

[John Hino]

"Not really. Though I never told you that in my new roommate's home dimension, I founded a hugely successful corporation. So if I get a big head, tell me."

[Kaylee Williams]

She grinned. "Oh really? And just what kind of corporation is this?"

[John Hino]

"A tech company on the level of Stark Industries."

[Kaylee Williams]

"Really!? Congratulations! That's awesome news." She tilted her head. "Though..home dimension?"

[John Hino]

"The dragon, remember? He got stuck here thanks to one of Dr. Tomorrow's rifts."

[Kaylee Williams]

She laughed. "Oh! I never knew that he got here that way. Anyway, congrats! Only means things outta go well here. Least I'd hope so."

[John Hino]

"It only means I have the potential. The rest is up to me."

[Kaylee Williams]

"True. I have faith in you though! I think you've got nothing to worry about." She said and gave the lizard's arm a squeeze.

[John Hino]

"I bow to your superior wisdom," he grinned.

[Kaylee Williams]

"As you should!" She grinned and rested her head against the upper part of John's arm.

[John Hino]

"Tell me oh great oracle, shall go out again this weekend?"

[Kaylee Williams]

She closed her eyes and starting to hum, as though she was doing some sort of chant. "Yes..yes, it's possible. It seems like Saturday is a fully open day."

[John Hino]

"Then it shall come to pass," he smirked.

[Kaylee Williams]

"That it will," she said then glanced upward. "For now, what shall we do? All the cotton candy's gone." She said, right after taking the last bite of hers. She tossed the holder in the trashcan.

[John Hino]

"I think I see a fish and chips place."

[Kaylee Williams]

Kaylee smiled. "That sounds good to me! I'm pretty hungry."

[John Hino]

"You mean spun sugar isn't filling?" he spoke with mock surprise.

[Kaylee Williams]

She gasped. "I know. I'm such a fattie." She said, shaking her head in disgust at herself.

[John Hino]

"Wait what?"
