Party at the Palace-Buckingham Palace, March 5th

Postby Narrator » Wed Jun 16, 2010 7:08 pm

When the XU students and faculty arrived, they would have their names checked on a guest list, and after going through a efficient and courteous, but extremely through security check, they would head to one of the ballrooms, that had been elegantly decorated for the event.

Captain Britain touched down, and went through security. If she was asked to remove her mask, she would politely refer the screeners to Pete Wisdom.

Will also showed up relatively early, Sara in tow (at least briefly) having ultimately decided to keep his hair green for the function, though it was a good deal more combed than usual.

He was rocking the tux.

Nick squirmed in his rented tuxedo as he entered the ballroom.

I feel like a penguin...

Gideon walked through security wearing a suit looking just a little uncomfortable.

I hate these things...

Kevin strode in, looking rather handsome in his tuxedo with white coat, blue vest, and blue tie. He wore it with confidence.

"This place is sweet."

Aiden arrived shortly after Kevin, wearing the suit the school had helped him rent.

"Not that different from the one back home," Aiden said looking around the room, and looking like he was more than used to this sort of thing.

Postby Veronica Freud » Wed Jun 16, 2010 7:33 pm

Veronica had paid another visit to the shop where she'd gotten her sexy little black and pink number her first semester at the school. When they were told why she needed a new dress the seamstresses had been quite eager to make her look like a princess herself. Her dress fit her perfectly, the hem just barely gliding above the floor as she spun around, staring at the ceiling. Her little spin lifter her skirt, revealing the pink Chucks she was wearing underneath. Well it wasn't like anyone would be able to see her shoes normally anyway and she couldn't dance in heels.

The domino mask on her face was a little out of place however. If Captain Britain was going incognito then there was no reason she couldn't either.

Tommy, sick as he was, was not going to miss his element, coming in and waving at nobles--some of which he knew quite well, some of which even liked him, and others which he wanted to APPEAR as if he knew quite well.

"Yes, yes hello! Good day to you, too!"

Simon was wearing the Morning tux Will had gotten for him for his wedding, though with the vest, pants and tie switched out. He was sporting a subdued gold bowtie with a tasteful gold vest and grey pinstriped pants. His tail swished behind him as he offered his long lanky hand to Chloe.

Rob walked in, wearing his usual ensemble of a dirty lab coat, t-shirt, jeans, and boots. He helped himself to some champagne getting a pointed glare from one of the palace servants.

Bobby walked in past Bear in his black and whites, glad for the chance to dress up for a very special occasion.

Taking a round of the room, he introduced himself and struck up conversations with anyone who seemed interested. For those who seemed interested in his business, he passed out a classy business card.

Meg flew in on her own, her blue hair down for once, left loose. Her dress surprisingly comfortable, for both being rented and formal. In fact, she could not remember the last time she had dressed anywhere nearly as fine.

She tolerated the search, though she did warn them about her powers possibly shorting out an electronic scans. Thankfully, her flight over had used up a decent amount of power, which reduced her odds of an embarrassing shocks or overloads considerably.

She waved to the people she knew as she approached her fellow students and heroes of the evening.

After a round of last minute dress-shopping Sara gladly joined Will, afterall you aren't invited to Buckingham Palace everyday. Or at all, usually. Still she's somewhat nervously sticking to Will because walking amongst the Royalty she definately feels out of place.
