Juma chuckles, "I am, of course, joking. I would not want to shift into a shark in a swimming pool."

"You can turn into a shark? Wild. But probably not very useful on land."

"I can, and that was a challenging hunt. When I need it it is very useful, the rest of the time, not as much." He smiles and stretches, then elaborates, "I can take on a few animal forms, though I usually only shift partway."

"The first form I.. learned.. and still the easiest is a serval. Not a lion, but a large cat nonetheless. It is quite an interesting sensation. It was disconcerting the first time, and with each new form, but with practice it feels natural. It is amazing to see the world through improved eyes though." He sips again, "And you, David? You control cold?"

"Storms, but cold is part of that, and I can do it separately." He holds up his scotch glass, and freezes some of the booze into an ice cube. That ruins that bit of scotch, but David doesn't know, and anyway he didn't exactly order top shelf stuff.

Juma gives that thought for a few moments, "Dirty. Overpopulated. Both amazingly rich and destitute. There is some forest left but not much. I don't think I'm going to miss it much."

He shrugs non-committaly, "Perhaps. I found it quite superficial, but I probably have different expectations. I am not much for glamour."

David shrugs. "I'm sure it's not for everybody. I'd like to see it, millions of people in one place, creating stuff, seems awesome. I mean, the stuff in London has been great so far, even if I haven't gotten to see much yet. When I get my first paycheck I'm totally going to the theater."

"Sort of. There is financial assistance for housing, books, food, that sort of thing so you don't have to take on a part-time job. With the training schedule, that would be almost impossible for most people, unless they don't need sleep or have super stamina or multiple bodies or something."

Strolling into the Xub Teri stops just as she passes through the door and simply stares into the room for about a minute. Afterwards she strolls up to the bar and orders something fruity and non-alcoholic.

David looks over at Teri curiously, catching sight of something strange/interesting about her eyes but unable to figure out from his brief look exactly what it was.

Teri grins, almost wickedly, as she catches David glance at her. Her drink lasts about two long draughts before she turns, looking like she's about to leave while she stops and stares at the wall for a second, turning back around and stepping up to the 4 guys.

"Hello there."

"Hello David. Hello Juma. We're Teri and so far things are going..." good, new, interesting, fine "...alright. Although we've only been here for a day."
She's talking with a thick greek accent that makes it hard to tell if she's mistranslating words or not.

"We're not quite sure what you mean with that. There's only one of us, we're just made from many."
Placing her hand on the table it immidiately dissolves into about two dozen locusts, sitting perfectly still. David could swear they're staring at him, if insects were capable of that.
