Feb. 24 - Sentinels in Mutant Town

One of the other Sentinels was aiming at Ronnie in retaliation when its movements slowed and jerked to a stop. "Error: Systems compromised. Viral code detected. Initiating defe- error, AI compromiiiiizzx" A moment later, it straightened and aimed its blaster at another Sentinel. "Epeius protocols initiated. Primary Objective initiated: protect sentient lifeforms."

[Simon Kipling]

"Edipus protocols? What the heck did you put in these guys Cyber?" Simon shouted out, leaping off of Titan and taking to the remaining rooftops to attack the nearest hostile target.

[Calvin Strong]

"System corruption!" Cal shouted back, taking a shot at the remaining Sentinel. "Past month, I've been figuring out how to hack these bastards for Binary!"

[Rachel O'Brien]

Nomic noticed that Alice was having problems Alice she said, her mindvoice firm You're too big, its straining your heart. You need to shrink.

[Veronica Freud]

Alice's thoughts were erratic at best, clouded by rage and hatred for the Sentinels as well as thinking of how many people they'd killed already. It showed on the outside as well; she looked scary even to the other X-Men.

[Rachel O'Brien]

Rachel gave Ronnie a brief, but noticeable tap to her pain centers Alice, this is an order. Shrink. Now.

[Veronica Freud]

Alice winced and grabbed her head. "Nngh!" She glared down at Rachel. A girl her size, bloody, beaten, holding the mangled remains of a couple of Sentinels was a pretty intimidating sight even if half of her was still underground. It seemed to have worked though. She dropped the ruined robots and pressed her palm against her chest, focusing on her breathing. She started to dwindle smaller, realizing how weak she felt.

Good girl. Rachel said, helping to make Ronnie's breathing and heart rate more regular.

[Lora Zalesky]

Lora hopped down near Gideon and tapped his shoulder briefly before speaking (not whispering; there was still to much chaos a tone that now).

"Looks like you are doing well enough to me." She grinned and very quickly kissed his cheek before running into the thick of things herself, twin jets of acidic mist spraying out onto the hull of the Sentinel that Gideon was firing at.

Cal jumped down, hopping off Titan's hand, and hurrying over to where Ronnie was... not doing too well. "Easy," he said, ready to catch her when she reached a manageable size. Unbidden, Titan seemed ready to assist him.

[Gideon Rede]

Gideon smiled watching Lora run into the fray out of the corner of his eye. Once she began her attack he switched his aim to the areas Lora was spraying with her acid.

Ronnie pulled herself out of the hole she'd, on all fours as she dwindled down to her usual petite self. She felt very, very weak but was otherwise pretty stable.

"Good job, babe," Cal said quietly, and went to either help Ronnie up or pick her up, depending on what she seemed capable of. "Just take it easy, it's all over now."

[Douglas Decker]

On the words 'All over now', the last bit of Doug's technopathy went into action, as his sentinel twitched, sputtered---and then exploded.

[Madrox Saavedra]

Madrox dove down on a straggling Sentinel, firing repeatedly with one blaster on a single spot before firing a charged blast of the other and breaking away as it hit.

[Veronica Freud]

Ronnie leaned heavily on Cal. She was able to walk with some help but she wouldn't be shifting size for quite some time.

"Thanks." She smiled softly. "Nice ride."

[Calvin Strong]

"You like?" Cal said, smirking. "I was going to get one in red, but everyone says that black's more... 'me', y'know?" he joked.

[Janice Gilbertson]

In what had become an increasingly large pile of sentinel rubble a few hundred yards away, there was a wrenching sound of metal, and finally a gloved fist bearing a golden mace punching free.

Captain Britain's force field expanded to allow her and Daniel egress.

"...you know, I'm not hearing engines anymore."

[Daniel Uriel]

"Nothing left to smash? Damn. That was starting to get fun," Daniel smirked, pulling his way out, forcing the wreckage away from them with his telekinesis.

[Veronica Freud]

"I think it'd look good in pink." Ronnie joked, her giggling turning into coughing.

[Janice Gilbertson]

"Oh, there's always something more to smash. Just probably not right now."

[Calvin Strong]

"Eeeeasy babe," Cal said, wincing. "Come on... we're going to get you back to the school. Anyone else hurt?" he added, calling this last to the group at large.

[Tommy More]

"Um...the spider-lady...Nina!" Tommy called.

[Kevin Gravis]

"I'm good! Might have sprain if that counts," Kevin reported.

[Calvin Strong]

"Then get Nina," Cal called back at her. "Titan! Wounded!"

"Acknowledged. Alerting designated medical facility," the Sentinel rumbled in response, crouching down and lowering its hands to the ground for easier access.

[Narrator]

"Good job, everyone!" Network called out over their headsets "But its not over yet, Genoshea still needs help. Anyone who is going needs to be ready for departure in fifteen minutes."
