Feb 22nd - St. John's Church - Ceremony

Eventually the people that gathered in front of and inside the church are ushered into the decorated main hall. There's no particular seating order since that'd just be silly except for the front row which is reserved for Will and Sara's families. There is a quick *bamf* as Nightcrawler teleports behind the podium and patiently waits for everyone to find a seat or their position.

Will hustled down the aisle, his hair hastedly re-combed, fiddling with his tie which WAS tied, nodding to Thog, who had already taken his position up on one side.


He shifted his weight from one foot onto another and then back again.

[Sara Stanton]

Once everyone has found their spot to sit or stand in and the commotion has died down music starts playing. A few moments of nervous fidgeting behind the door Robert Evans leads his daughter through the door and walks her down the aisle. Sara's wearing her dress along with a small shoulder scarf a small veil and the ruby-necklace. She's biting her lower lip a bit as not to grin like an idiot as she walks up to Will.

[Will Stanton]

Will just grinned like an idiot back at her, as if he couldn't believe this was really happening.

[Sara Stanton]

"Hey." she whispers, smiling brightly.

[Will Stanton]

"Hey yourself, beautiful" Will whispered back. "Come here often?"

[Kurt Wagner]

Nightcrawler discreetly clears his throat, smiling at the two and giving them a moment before starting to talk.



"Dear family and friends. We have gathered here today to witness the joining of William Angelina Stanton and Sara Jane Evans in holy matrimony. If any of those present feel, for some absurd reason, the need to object then speak now or forever hold your peace."

[Onyx]

Onyx glares out at the crowd from her position.

[Kurt Wagner]

"Since everybody appears to be too scared of the Flower Girl to object the couple will now read their personal wedding vows."

[Will Stanton]

Will cleared his throat.


"Sara...

There are....there are days when this seems like it's come so quickly I can hardly breathe, and days when it seems like I've been waiting my entire life for this moment. When I first saw you...well, they say there's such a thing as love at first sight...

But that's ridiculous. It wasn't love at first sight, it was 'hey, maybe she won't think I'm ever-so-strange, and wow, I can use this cheesy one-liner I thought up the night before on the plane'.

Well, you MIGHT think I'm ever-so-strange, but you've gone...wow, miles above and beyond that. You've taken me in and made me feel so...complete. Like I was missing a chunk of my life without you.

That's why I, Will Stanton, promise to love you, Sara, with everything I have and everything I am. I promise to be loyal to you, and honor the love we share, for all the days of my life, and beyond into the next. I give unto you my heart, my life, my body and my soul. I promise to be appreciative of your feelings, and always think of us in everything I do. I promise to offer you comfort and friendship, commitment, and my undying love. This is my solemn vow, so help me God."

[Sara Stanton]

Sara holds back a good amount of sniffles at Will's vow, trying her best not to ruin her make-up by crying and she manages to. Barely. Her voice does almost give in in a few places as she starts to talk though.


"Will... When I came to London I didn't even dare to hope I would meet someone as amazing as you. You made me feel like I didn't have to worry about the 'old' me that I wanted to leave behind so badly and that maybe being less awkward might not so hard after all. And it wasn't, because somehow you made everything feel right."

"It's been barely half a year but already I know you better than I know anybody else. Your laughter, your kindness and your love has made my time with you the happiest of my life and I promise to always be here for you as your friend, your partner and your lover. To try and make the future we have chosen the best it can be and even if might not always be easy I know I can do it as long as I have you at my side, because I love you with all my heart."

[Will Stanton]

Will, too, could barely keep it together, just smiling and nodding as Sara went on.

[Kurt Wagner]

"Then do you, William Angelina Stanton, take Sara Jane Evans as your lawful wife, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?"

[Will Stanton]

"And beyond; I do."

[Kurt Wagner]

"And do you, Sara, take take this man as your lawful husband, to have and to hold, from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer or for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and cherish until death do you part?"

[Sara Stanton]

"Yes I do!" she beams.

[Kurt Wagner]

Nightcrawler looks at Simon and Chloe. "The rings please."

[Simon Kipling]

Simon stood fairly stoic to Will's side. He was, after all, in charge of keeping him in line. He couldn't help but raise an eyebrow at Will's middle name. There was a detail he'd never heard before. Dressed in the suit Will had gotten tailored for him he actually looked decently sharp, his tail hanging limp behind him.

Simon reached into his suit pocket and removed the ring, giving Will a little smile.

Will smiled at Simon as he took the ring, and then took Sara's hand.

"With this ring, I thee wed," he said, slipping it onto her finger.

[Sara Stanton]

As Will slides the ring on her finger she doesn't quite manage to hold back a few tears of joy.

[Chloe Grant]

Chloe handed Sara the ring, which she had cleverly put on her thumb.

[Sara Stanton]

"Oh! Right..." she sniffles, sounding a bit embarrassed as Chloe interrupts her from staring at the ring on her finger.

Taking it from her she holds Will's hand and slips the ring on his finger. "With this ring I pledge my love and life to you."

[Will Stanton]

"That's right, we're both doing it," Will said, sotto voice with a smile, looking down at the ring.

[Sara Stanton]

"I know. Shut up." she blushes, smiling at Will sheepishly.

[Kurt Wagner]

Nightcrawler chuckles faintly at the exchange.

"Well then... By the power invested in me by the Lord I hereby pronounce you man and wife. Im Namen des Vaters, des Sohnes und des Heiligen Geistes. You may kiss the bride."

[Will Stanton]

Will lifted the veil up and, tenderly, kissed his wife.

[Sara Stanton]

Placing her hands on Will's cheeks she lovingly returns the kiss.
