Zoe keeps close to any sort of railing or other support, in case the floor does give out. Aside from that, she steps lightly and quickly.

"Will? Make yourself lighter again." Ryan looked up and down the hall until he saw a stairwell. "All right... Zoe, you said you can make things rougher... can you make the wall rough enough that you guys can hang on while I ferry you over to the stairwell? I don't want any of us falling through, and I don't want anyone below us tipped off any more than they have to be."

"Ill be fine here, Ryan" Will said. "As long as this thing can support any weight at all, worry about Anita and Zoe."

"I can do that," she nods, planting her hand against the closest wall and straining to increase the friction on it. It takes more out of her but she's still pretty fresh so it's not a problem yet. Once the first wall is done, she shifts to the other and gives it the same treatment.

"All right, everyone hang onto the walls."

Once the team was suspended by the increased friction on the walls, Ryan would start ferrying people over to the stairwell, where hopefully there was more sturdy footing.

Will decided to eschew the walls to give the others more climbing space. Reducing his weight to near-0, he began to cross the floor.

The floor creaks.... and then begins to crumble! Sections of it are falling in first, as someone tears out supports from underneath.

Anita grits her teeth but otherwise remains calm on the section of floor she's standing on, waiting for the right time to jump.

"Woah there!" Will yells as he jumps. He stretches out his arms to reach the wall, changing his hands to metal spikes to dig in and give him a grip.

With Anita standing her ground and Will making his own way, that left Zoe supported by Ryan for the first ferry ride. She lets out a muffled yelp as the floor starts to give way and clutches Ryan's arm tightly.

The floor collapses in a crash of noise and dust. Anita is able to jump to the side, dissapearing into the rock dust. The drop is about 10 feet total, with the remnants of the floor shattering on the next floor, which also creaks but not quite as badly.

There are skrulls shouting in their alien language from all directions, impossible to tell how many exactly at the moment.

This is why I need to request light team members. Ryan wrapped his arm around Zoe's waist, giving a mighty flap that kept them from falling down the hole. "Well, so much for a sneak entrance. Will, we're going down. Be ready to be smacking things around right away, Anita might be hurt." God, I hope not, though.

With that, he tucked his wings in, dropping lightly into the room below, snapping his wings out at the last minute to land easily, watching for any threatening forms he might need to shield Zoe from while they got their bearings.

"Gotcha! Lemme down and get clear, don't try to land near me." Zoe lands and crouches low, absorbing the impact gracefully. Both hands flatten on the floor to make a pool of fictionless floor in a circle about four feet around. She keeps her hands pressed there as she looks for the nearest target.

Anita's gun fires in the dust. Gurgling noises follow. As the dust begins to clear, Ryan, Zoe, and Will see Skrulls charging in at them, but none from the area Anita jumped to.

Still... there are a lot of them. Eight coming in, and Anita fired three times.

Zoe has no illusions about her ability to do serious damage, but she knows just enough jujitsu to be overconfident. She rises and waits for the first charger to get in close, hoping to grab an arm and flip her opponent into the ground.

"Well, then. Going down!"

Will waited until a Skrull or two was below him, and then increased his mass as high as he could--about a quarter ton--and dropped down on top of him, skin becoming metal as he fell.

The Skrull is crushed, de-rezzing immediately. Even better, two of them are stopped by Will's sudden bulk, crashing into him and bouncing off.

Zoe, protected by Ryan, has only one of the remaining four to deal with directly, she grabs and flips a Skrull, but her opponent manages to grab her arm in desperation as he's flung... if she doesn't get rid of him soon she's going with him on his little trip.

She curses and channels all of her power through her grip on the skrull, trying to make it's entire body frictionless in a panicked surge.

"Hah! Got the drop on 'ya!"

His hands still metal spikes, he takes a swing at the closest Skrull. It's a bit clumsy, for sure, but at least it's with a weapon.

Ryan landed in a defensive crouch, his hand outstretched, taking shots at all of the Skrulls rushing him in turn and trying to drive them back with a swipe of his wing.

The skrull that Zoe threw sails off her, hits a wall, slides off that, hits the floor and spins in place for a good twenty seconds before the DR de-rezzes the poor thing.

Meanwhile, the skrulls that Will is fighting try to form up some armor, and are largely successful. Will's clumsey strikes don't do much damage, but the aliens he's fighting can't really get away either. He's got the two of them trapped.

Ryan drops one skrull right away with a blast, de-rezzing it. He drops another one with a wing strike which doesn't quite take it out of the combat but does put it on the ground. He misses the third skrull with another blast, and the fourth one is able to get inside his guard, whacking him hard on the side. No ribs broken or anything like that, just a good hard thump.

Will decides not to get TOO crazy here; a stalemate should work until his teammates can come with the coup de gras.

"It's at times like this I wish I could do a buzzsaw," he says, as he tries a weighted kick to the nether regions.

As much as she wants to stop and catch her breath, there's just too much happening. No one would accuse Zoe of being an honourable fighter at the best of times, and these are not the best of times; she breaks into a short sprint, ending it with a swift kick to the side of the downed Skrull's head.

Will's kick hits but doesn't knock the skrull out, and he's grabbed by both skrulls, they try to lift and tip him, and together they're able to manage his heavier weight, tipping him over with a loud crash that makes the floor creak a little, and another large crack appear.

Zoe's vicious kick finishes the job that Ryan's wing began, de-rezzing the skrull in question.

Another gunshot goes off, and Will has the rather disturbing image of a skrull getting shot in the head mere inches from his face, before the alien de-rezzes. That leaves Will with only a single opponent, and Ryan with just two.

Will reduces his mass to keep from falling through the floor, and then shoots his arm out into a long metal spike aimed directly at the Skrull standing over him.

Ryan gritted his teeth, not wanting to do anything too strenuous until he'd had a chance to evaluate what had happened to his side. His eyes began to glow, and he jerked his head around toward the closest skrull, letting loose with another blast at it.

With Ryan's second opponent distracted, the one he's blasting can't get away from the shot, and it goes down with a de-rezz.

Will manages to stab his skrull, and the two of them grapple. Will isn't able to instantly take that skrull out, but it can't really hurt him so Will's winning that one, if slowly.

Zoe is about to get a face-full of skrull fist, having provoked an opponent who is set at the higher combat level, and is saved by another gunshot, a bullet taking out the skrull's hand right before it can connect with Zoe. Zoe actually feels the wind from that shot.

At this point, there are two wounded skrulls, and four combat-ready team members.

The fight is over mere seconds later.

Anita is revealed as she steps out of the slowly clearing dust, putting her pistols away. "Nothin' else movin' on this floor, or the one below either."

Ryan tested his ribs gently, checking to make sure that yes, nothing's broken or hurt in any way that he needs to worry about. "Well, it wasn't the most graceful entry we could have made, but it's just as effective I suppose. Anyone hurt?"

Ryan doesn't seem to be injured, just sore. The DR settings currently don't allow any serious wounds in any case.

Ryan nodded at her acknowledgement. She was the one he was worried about anyway, he'd managed to keep enough of an eye on Will and Zoe to be fairly sure they were all right. "Nita, can you feel anything from the floors below us? Like say, a room full of people that seem to be being held there under guard?"

Anita concentrates, eyes closed, standing still. "Two floors down... all of them are tied up, so if one of em is a skrull, then they won't be much of a threat."

She opens her eyes, pulling her power back in. "Huh Zoe? Oh yeah, they're nine mill hollowpoints." She grins, and winks at Zoe. "Trust me."
