For the ride upon Amazon, Ronnie had diminished herself to a tiny size, making herself lighter and easier to carry as well as helping with the gifted woman's aerodynamics. It wasn't long before the team's communicators began crackling with the chatter of their allies fighting in the laboratory deep below ground.
"There's too much noise." She said, holding her hand over the earpiece. "They're talking over each other and it sounds like a damn zoo down there. We gotta get them out of there. I'll see if I can help get us in."
After checking with Rob that his calculations were indeed correct and they were over where they needed to be Ronnie let herself fall from Amazon's form and plummeted toward the earth. At first the tiny sprite could have easily been blown off course by the wind. That is until her body gained mass and size so radically and to such a scale that the air cracked with thunder. At her full height the impact was more like jumping out of a tree than falling from a hundred feet; no concrete, wood or stone could stand up to so much weight traveling at such a speed.
Above all the screaming, explosions and bedlam deep within the laboratory
the sound of her impact muffled them all even through the thick layers of soil and concrete, causing the already shaking room to lurch violently.
