Meanwhile, drawn out by the noise, Faultline had made her way over from where she had been working on Will and the other two. The sight of the ruptured tank had stopped her in her tracks for a moment, but anger is quick to take over from shock now.

"What have you done!?" she screams, the ground trembling in an extension of her rage.

He ducked low . "Even if you made him into one of your depraved little slaves? I think not." He then came back up with a hard blow to shatter the stone.

Spikes keep shooting out of the ground at John from all sides, not really caring how many of them crumble under John's punches.

bear tossed the taser ball dead center, before acrobatically diving out of the way!

The taser-ball hit dead-center into the mass of Legion, and a large part of the blob began rapidly cycling through various materials and sizes and states of matter, temperature, texture, the whole lot.

However, even more of it detached itself, and changed direction to chase down Bear.

By now, however, there were THREE Legions--one stuck in a time bubble, one rapidly pulsating from the electricity, and the fastest one changing direction.

"I'm getting really tired of you, bitch," Melody scowled, forming a handful of bombs and flinging them at Faultline. If nothing else, she reasoned with herself, the bombs would smash even more expensive looking equipment in the room.

This time, however, Legion had learned, opening up a hole, and letting the explosive ball sail through , hitting the ceiling and blowing up.

The blob lunged forward, catching Bear's legs, and sucking them in to the mass, trying to suck her in entirely!

For a moment Faultline had to focus on raising walls to intercept the bombs, allowing John to make a dash towards her.

Faultline sees him coming and anchors herself in the ground. It's like colliding with a wall, which for John basically means her tackles her to the ground. Hitting the ground she disappears into it and a moment later the floor surges up to throw John back towards Melody.

"This can't be good..." he had said in the brief moment between when Faultline disappeared into ground and when he was unceremoniously launched into the air.

"Out of the way!!" he called out as he flew.

"Mind your manners!" Captain Britain shouted, diving for the pseudopod that was aiming to engulf Bear. Ahead of her, she shaped her force field like a blade.

Melody dropped to the floor in a dive forward, her sides blocked by lab tables and expensive-looking equipment, hoping she'd gone far enough to avoid getting smashed by John.

Not about to give them any time to catch their breath Faultline rushes at John and Melody, lab benches and other things in her way getting tossed aside by the growing 'bow wave' of floor in front of her as she aims to just slam the two of them into and/or through the wall.

"He was safe! How dare you breach containment!"

Though the tentacle did manage to reach Captain Britain, it was somewhat difficult to find purchase, between the speed she was going and the force field. Regardless, she continued to try to reach and sever the pseudopod that was trying to engulf Bear!

The tentacle was snapped off, but, out of the back, a heavy steel wall came out, bending at the edges, placing itself between the captain and the Bear.

The Bear was a little ticked out, after the almost engulfing by the psuodopod. She quickly began twisting, to squirm free of the mass still attached to her feet.

Melody's eyes widened as she struggled to push herself up off of the floor in the face on the oncoming wave. She fell backwards in the process of trying to right herself and scrambled backwards like a crab, trying to find a better way to get out of the way.

The mass, however, shot up, and a very strong suction, accompanied by a very loud sound, almost like a motor running, began to try to pull Bear in!

Bear, starting to lose breath, reached into her satchel... And pulled out a ball that attached to her hand and extended whirling saw blades, which began slicing into the mass attacking her!

Legion tried to counter by squeezing on Bear, hard, like a tube of toothpaste, but she had managed to cut a small hole before he could adapt his texture to keep the saw blades from cutting even MORE.

Parts of the rock crumble a little, partially from Faultline losing control over the oddly behaving stone, which saves Melody's butt. John on the other hand isn't so lucky and under a cloud of dust he's smashed through the wall.

Which happened to be a huge tank of ethanol used for sterilizing. Which in combination with wiring being ripped through the wall produced a massive fireball.

While his darkforce armor protected him from the brunt of the explosion, he was engulfed in flames that quickly ate through his armor. A roaring, panicked scream ensued as he flailed around on the ground in a desperate and futile attempt to put himself out.

It's hard to tell if Faultline can't react fast enough or if she just discards Renko as not a threat but she doesn't seem to try to avoid him. Then again with her lower body melting into the floor and the rest of her stone as well Faultline doesn't look particularly vulnerable to being bullrushed.

The flames were eventually quelled, but by then John was badly burned and barely conscious.
