Issue 1 Downtime

Onyx's ability had dropped the two of them off in New York City, but she had never been to the cabin, and it was a three hour drive in a rented Chevy Camero (not a convertible, because who wants to be driving in the mountains in February in an open top?) up into the Adriondacks to get to the cabin.

Will had shifted female after spending all day and the day before that and the day before that male, just so she could stretch out some (smaller person == more comfortable ride!) as she drove up the last switchbacks.

"Are we there yet?" she asks jokingly while admiring the landscape the road is winding through.

"Do you want me to turn this car around? Because I can't; we're on a switchback," Will laughed.

They hadn't seen a house for miles now, until they rounded another bend, and there it was, straight out of their dream. A cabin, nearly entirely cut off from civilization, snow on the rooftop.

"Oh wow... It looks exactly the way it did in our dream..."

Will parked the car out front. "Sure does," she grinned, shutting off the engine. "You like?"

"Me like, yes." she beams, hopping out of the car. "The luggage can wait, I wanna take a look inside!"

"Of course. One second," Will said, sneaking up behind her...and then swooping her up in her arms.

"Whoa! Should have waited until we were closer" she said, headed for the door.

She squeals happily and wraps her arms around Will's neck.

"Alright, here we go" she said, bounding up the steps, growing a third arm to pull the key out and unlock the front door.

The cabin was tastefully, if rustically, decorated. There was a fireplace, with a bearskin rug in front of it, a nice oak table, a well stocked kitchen, and the Stantons had even included some nice floral arrangements and a card or letter or something on the table. In the back, the door led to what, presumably, was the bedroom.

"Omigod! An actual fireplace with bear-rug... It's like something out of a movie..." she says as she gawks at the room.

"It is! Sara Stanton, welcome to 'This Is Your Life'!" Will said, dramatically, for a moment...

...before bursting into giggles.

"Almost feels like a dream still..." she smiles, pulling herself up a bit to give Will a deep kiss.

"Well, it's not," Will said. "Sara Evans dreamed of this place. Sara Stanton is actually here."

"And she loves it. It's perfect!"

"And Will Stanton is going to put her down," she added, setting Sara down to her feet. "Well. Here we are."

"First things first we need a fire." she nods. "You get our suitcases and I'll get the fireplace going?" she smiles.

"Yes'm!" she said, mock saluting, and dashing back outside to grab the bags.

She chuckles and goes to start a fire.


When Will comes back there's a cozy fire going and Sara is lieing on the bearskin-rug, wearing (for her very) risqué lingerie and a see-through negligee. "Hey..." she smiles softly.

Will dropped the bags. "Hey there," she smiled.

"I thought I'd... you know..." she blushes, not really sure what to say. "...get comfy? Sorry, I'm a bit awful at this." she smiles sheepishly.

"I'll make sure to write you some better lines later.

And, are you? Comfy, that is?" she smiled.

She chuckles slightly. "Thanks. And not as comfy as I could be..." she smiles.

"Well, then, is it possible I could help?" she said, striding over, grinning.

"I don't know... Can you?" she teases.

"Well, let's see here..." she says, smiling, walking over to lie down next to Sara. "This help?"

"Mhmm... that's a good start." she smiles, draping herself on Will's chest and cuddling up against her.

"Well, here we are," she smiled, holding Sara close to her chest.

"We sure are and I don't think I wanna leave ever again." she hums, giving Will a little squeeze before softly kissing her neck.

"Then stay right there," Will smiled, letting Sara trail kisses down her neck. "That's just perfect."

"I think... I can do... that..." she whispers between kisses before ending up on Will's earlobe.

Will peeled off her own shirt. "VERY perfect," she said, intelligently.

"Smooth..." she giggles, running her fingers down Will's arm.

"Don't have to be, I've already got you here," she smiled, running her hands down Sara's back.

"And I'm not here because you're such a ladies man... girl... anyway." she smiles, shivering a little at Will's hand on her back.

"I never get tired of hearing WHY you're here," she grinned.

"Because you're sweet and because I feel like I can put on something like this for you even though I know I'd be awkward, but most of all because it's our honeymoon and I'm your wife now." she smiles.

"Now and forever...and you're not awkward, you're gorgeous."

"Not as gorgeous as you. Just in fancier underwear right now." she giggles softly.

"I like. I suppose I can only trump that with no underwear at all," she giggled, slipping off her pants.

"I don't know... it's reeaally fancy underwear." she nods, snickering.

"Then again..." she grins, grabbing Will's butt.
