Christy is super-strong and invulnerable, as long as her body is in contact with the earth. If there is air between her and the earth, her power doesn't work, if water, she is weaker and can be hurt, but has some protection.
History:
Christy is the middle sibling in the Bowen family, following in the footsteps of her Father, Stan, and her older brother Bobby. She tries to set a good example for her younger brother, Tommy.
After their mother died, and the family moved to upstate New York, Stan and Bobby's frequent abscences meant that she and Tommy became very close and learned to take care of each other.
When her power manifested a couple of years ago, her only real regret about heading off to Xavier's was that she'd be away from her little brother, and she was very happy when Tommy manifested his powers and he joined her at Xavier's.
