Name: Lora Zalesky
Codename: Defiler
Age: 20
Country of Origin: Ukraine

Power: Lora's body generates a highly corrosive, reddish-purple acid, primarily released through a large pore on the palm of each hand. This substance is particularly powerful when used on mineral, non-organic materials. A solid coating can, given a little time, dissolve metal, stone, plastic, etc., allowing her to create makeshift entrances through walls, as well as destroy practically any inconvenient evidence, or disarm an opponent by liquefying their weapon.

Mixed in with this substance is an enzyme that, when coming in contact with organic material, catalyzes a process that sharply weakens the acid. Thus, same coating or spray that would melt a brick might only be painful and caustic to another person. Inhaling it is particularly unpleasant. However, a sufficient dose can still be lethal, particularly if large amounts of it aren't cleaned away in time. Obviously, Lora is immune to the effects of her own acid.

Generally, the substance is released as a fine mist, jetting out from the palms of her hands. She can also launch blobs of condensed acid from her hands, accurate to about 20 feet or so, and while this can especially troublesome against an opponent, Lora prefers to not use this method, as it takes some time to gather that much toxin within her arms, and uses up a lot of it.

Lora has a circulatory system for the acid that runs throughout her body, allowing for a fair amount of reserves. This is also problematic for someone fighting her at melee range, because, though they might be able to strike her, any cut in the skin resulting in bleeding would likely result in damage to the weapon used to deal the blow.

Personality: Lora believes in both working hard and playing hard. She's a fun-loving young woman, often going out on the town or being seen in the XUBs. At the same time, she's serious and hard-working when she knows she has to put her mind to a task. She's highly intelligent and capable, though on the outside she seems bubbly and flirtatious. Thanks to her upbringing, Lora is ardently pro-mutant and mutant supremacist, though she's prudent enough to know when to keep her political opinions to herself.

Physical description: She's 5'7", with abundant honey-brown hair that goes down to her shoulders, with wild bangs in the front. Her eyes look like they were hazel, but have a tinge similar to the shade of her acid, as their color affected when her mutation manifested. On the palms of both hands are readily visible holes, which are usually closed unless she's allowing them to spray. The skin immediately around this area much darker and more ruddy than her normal skin tone. The skin on her palms becomes lighter the further away it is from the pores, and the opposite side of her hand looks totally normal. Aside from these unusual features, she looks like a normal human, and an attractive one, at that. She's likely to wear whatever is in style with the mutant subculture at a given time.

Background: Lora was born to mutant parents living in Kiev. Both had physical mutations, and her father's is very obvious, which made holding a normal job and finding much acceptance somewhat difficult. Seeing the hard time they had of things deeply affected Lora as she grew up. By the time she was 13, her family migrated to Moscow, so that they could live among the large mutant community gathered there. Lora found herself immersed within the mutant subculture, and not long after that, her mutation manifest itself (to her parents' joy). Though Lora was already attending college at Moscow State University, she immediately transferred to the Xavier's London campus upon its opening.

Actually, organically created acids tend to be, on average, more geared to breaking down organic compounds and harming living beings.

Aye. I just really don't want to make her OP in any way. Perhaps I could change the wording?

I'm not really sure if there are acids that react more to inorganics than organics.

If you wanted to, you could give her two glands, one that secretes the acid, one that secretes a neutralizer. She could, albeit in a messy and disgusting fashion, shield some things from her acid.

You're not trying to bring real physics/chemisty into our superhero game, are you? ^_^

As for the overall app, I like it.

Approval 1/2
