Mizuki Hino

Postby Mizuki Hino » Sun Dec 06, 2009 6:41 pm

Name: Mizuki Hino
Codename: ?
Country of Origin: USA
Hometown: Seattle, Washington
Ethnicity: Caucasian/Japanese
Age: 17

Power Explanation: Simply put, super-strength and (to a lesser degree) toughness. Not so simply put, the extend of those powers are based on how much light Mizuki is able to absorb. The brighter her sorroundings, the stronger she is. As a general guideline for her maximum lifting capacity:

Pitch black: weaker than base-line human
At Night: Base-line human
At Night in the city: ~1000 pounds
Dusk/Dawn: ~1-2 tons
Cloudy Day: ~2-3 tons
Day/Regularly lit room: ~3-4 tons
Noon: ~4-5 tons
Getting blasted by Lumis: who-the-hell-knows

As for her toughness, bullets, blades and energy attacks hurt her like they would a regular human. The only thing she's somewhat tough towards to is blunt force. In a decently lit environment she could get knocked through a wall without being seriously injured, but she'd be unlikely to keep standing/fighting.

Physical Description: Mizuki is pretty small at 5'0" and at just under 100 lbs she looks kind of fragile and a little pale. She used to dress rather conservatively, but that's likely to change away from home.

Personality: Mizuki is polite and somewhat quiet, but when she does talk she has no qualms about speaking her mind, especially when people don't take her seriously or underestimate her.

History: Growing up Mizuki spent alot of time keeping her brother company before he left for the AoT, much to her disappointment. She never showed any signs of a mutation, possibly due to spending alot of time with John and in a low-light environment. When John left she didn't really have a reason to stay in the shadows, so to speak, and eventually developed a mutation that couldn't be any more different than her brother's.

As an added note, I'm throwing the application out there now for future use, depending on how things go Mizuki's going to enroll either after Christmas or Summer break, but she might drop by to visit her brother before-hand.

So... in other words, light makes her stronger, but she's always insanely super-strong.

I can scale it down. I just oriented it on the 2-4 tons Euri suggested for super-strength in another application.

Oh, the top weight I have no problem with. It's just that when I started reading the app, I expected the "in the dark" weight to be a bit more toward "normal." I'm not pulling the "It's a starting character, that's overpowered!" bit, it just seems it'd make it more interesting to have the light-base on it be more necessary.

Well to put it into a bit more perspective, the "At night in the city" bit is not "anywhere in a city" and more "street-lighting in a big street in London".
In a smaller street/alley/park it'd be more towards slightly stronger than base-line. The dusk/dawn bit is similar and more "you can still actually see the sun" and not the rest of scattering ligth after the sun's actually gone down.
