Eric Osgood

Postby Eric Osgood » Sun Dec 19, 2010 8:59 pm

Name: Eric 'Overdrive' Osgood
Age: 19
Power: Cybernetics – Eric has cybernetic implants enhancing and replacing parts of his heart and circulatory system, most major joints, fingertips, toes, and parts of his brainstem, following damage that was done to them. They allow for enhanced touch and sensory input, enhanced endurance and powerful computational data abilities with wireless interface from his brain implants. he also has rudamentary computer interface abilities and extrordinary decryption powers.

Super speed - Eric is capable of moving at superspeed, at a pace quicker than the human eye can percieve. His maximum speed is unknown, other than that it is beyond the speed of sound. His mind works at a similarly fast pace, which allows his data processing power to exist in connection with his brain replacements.

Personality: Eric is fairly serious, and dislikes to use his powers due to the potential for damage to his own body. he is polite and friendly, except when someone tries to goad him into using his speed on a frivolous task.

Description: 510”, average build, with brown hair and brown eyes. he has a metal plate on the rear base of his skull, which he keeps covered with his hairstyle. His fingertips and toes appear to be made of dull metal.

Background: Eric’s mutation surfaced when he was fourteen. He was sent to a lab, and submitted to voluntary experiments on mutation and the function of enhanced speed and endurance. One of the experiments was supposed to unlock Calvin’s underdeveloped power to its ‘full potential.’

Unfortunately, his power at its full potential proved to be destructive to much of his body, leaving him with severe circulatory damage to his arteries and heart, and his joints, leaving him near death in a comatose state. Electing to proceed with a substantial cash payment to his parents and cybernetic replacement to salvage his life, the company rebuilt him stronger than before, and much more capable..

The procedure was one of several that drove the company to ruin, but not before some substantial success in replacing his joints, heart, and circulatory system, as well as a dead section of his brainstem reconfigured to work in cooperation with his powerfully fast brain for data crunching purposes.

He was allowed to leave and return to his native Ireland, where he grew distant from his family and eventually left for good, using the cash reserves he had amassed to attend boarding school, and then eventually finding his way to London to attend the XU.
