Issue 1 Downtime

Moving wasn't exactly hard for Paul. He'd had to pack his stuff, yes. And he'd had to head to the school with his parents, so that he could get to his dorm room. After that, it was just a matter of opening a door into his old room and carrying the boxes through. No need for trucks, no need to navigate halls... it wasn't a big deal.

It was annoying that the Academy could watch for him to set foot on campus again, though. He'd have to just make a new customer base here. At least he'd still be able to accept the odd delivery job from the Academy kids who had his phone number, but it cut his business down a lot still.

So there he was, apparently coming out of a closet with his boxes and carrying them into his bedroom.

Jason stepped into the open doorway to say hi to the new roommate just as Paul re-entered via the closet.

"Duuude... awesome magic closet powers."

"Yeah, I'm the new exchange student from Narnia," Paul said, grunting as he dropped a box of clothes onto the couch.

"Heh. Nice one. Althoouugh... the RA is from Atlantis..." he thought aloud.

"No. Just no," Paul said. "Here, just a minute, let me get the last box," he said, stepping through the door again, and returning a few minutes later with a stack of boxes. "There! Finally," he grunted, kicking the closet door shut.

"Man... I wish my power was that useful," he said, "I just zap stuff."

"holy shit you weren't kidding, you are here!" Haley almost squealed as she bounced into the room past Jason, almost tackling Paul.

Paul staggered back a few steps, catching the flying cowgirl. "Hey, hey, I know I said I'd call, but no need to go killing me," he joked. "Good to see you too, babe."

"Calling me fat now? " she smirked. "You're supposed to like continue picking me up and shit."

"Calling you fat, whatever. Even a tiny cannonball like you can knock me through a wall," he joked. "How're you feeling?"

Haley pointed to the impressive bruise on her forehead. "This is ugly as hell and it hurts like hell to,"

"Poor thing," he said. "Need me to protect you from big bad headbutting chicks?"

"If she tries shit again, I'll send her flying through a fucking window." she smirked

"That works," he grinned, setting her down again. "So... I think someone said she was going to show me around?"

"Someone did? Look at you, barely here five minutes and you're already meeting other girls," she teased.

Paul gave her a look, and then a backhanded swat on the ass.

Haley smirked, "Don't you start with this beating me up shit too. I hit back hard. Hell, I might even bite your ankles or something."

"Pfff, keep that mouth going I'll need to do something to shut you up," he joked. "Want to show me where you can eat around here? I'm freaking starved."

"Yeah, I'll take you to the cafeteria, captain sassypants," she smirked. "Got all your shit out of your last dorm?"

"Yeah," he said. "Stupid headmistresses not being able to take a joke..."

"Well you and I think it's hilarious, and more importantly, I've got my friend here now because of it," she grinned. "C'mon, I'll give you the tour on the way."

"All right, all right, I'm coming already," he chuckled, pushing the door to his room shut.
