Theresa was staring at a pile of boxes that had somehow blocked the doorway to her bedroom, leaving her trapped inside it. She looked out over the top of the pile while she tried to decide what to tackle first.

Kay had been out and about (okay, she had been in the pool) and thus had missed someone piling up boxes. When she spots them she freezes for a moment. She's excited that people are finally arriving and the long, boring summer is over but she's also a little worried who it's going to be.

"Uh... hi?"

"Kay?" Theresa asked from the other side of the mountain. "Hold on..." A few of the boxes disappeared from the top of the stack and she could see Theresa's face on the other side.

"Thanks," she said, clearing an opening with Kay's help. "I'm really not sure how they got piled up like that. Must have brought more stuff than I thought."

"Now that I look at it, I honestly don't know," she said. "Just have to give away what I don't use I guess."

"Give it three months and you may be saying 'you again?!'," Theresa said with a laugh.

"Fine, but you can't be trying to be a pain in the butt on purpose." she smirks.

"Ask Brigid. I'm just a pain in the butt by nature."

"Ah now I got it. You were intending to bore me to death by making me read those books."

"I'm devious like that," she said with a firm nod. "I see you survived though."

"Shoulda just waited and zapped me in the pool." she nods sagely.

Kay shakes her head, snickering.

"So did I miss people finally showing up or are you early?" she asks once she calmed down a little

"Theoretically, Dana. But I haven't actually seen her for... I don't even know how long. I'm kinda afraid to open the door and find a computer growing out of her brain or something..." she half-jokes.

"Around here, it wouldn't surprise me," Theresa said, picking up a small but obviously heavy box. "This is some of my books. Feel free to raid it for stuff you want to read." She moved to hand it off to Kay.

"Eesh... I'm starting to feel like you're moving in for me too while you're at it." she says, though she smiles as she takes the box from Theresa.

"I think some of this is winter clothes..." She said, opening up another box. "Yep. Don't need to deal with that now." She tucked it into a corner of her bedroom.

"Want me to help unpacking?" she asks, little bit awkwardly watching Theresa. "Not that I wanna go through your stuff or anything. Just feeling kinda useless here." she adds, still holding on to the bos of books.

"If you want to, I'd appreciate it. Mostly I don't remember what's in these boxes at the moment." She picked one up and shook it. "Although I think these are posters. If you want to unroll and flatten them out on the floor and put some books on top of them, that'd be awesome."

"Sure. Already got the books too!" she chuckles, holding up the box before putting it down on the common-room couch and grabbing some posters to straighten.

"You'd think I'd have labeled the boxes, but apparently I didn't. And after a long drive, I don't remember what's what." She started fishing in another box, pulling out a computer monitor and laying it on the bed. Some of the posters were the ones that Kay had seen previously through Theresa's webcam, an assortment of rock bands and video game art.

"My mom usually. Which I'm kind of surprised she didn't ride herd on me to do it this time," she said, pulling out some other computer equipment before breaking down the box and tossing it into the common room.

That box appeared to be sheets and towels. "Much better to play what's-in-the-box roulette I guess."

"It's just towels." she shrugs and disappears into the bathroom for a moment.

"Besides, I have two older brothers. I don't think you're gonna gross me out."
