[Haley Crusek]

Barely a month into her summer, a summer she'd been looking forward to with her friends all year, and she was back here in New York. And it was all the fault of that backstabbing ho bag Carly turning everyone but her closest friends against her, and one little fight...and several thousand dollars of property damage.

Haley sat underneath a tree on the grounds alone, her eyes red from crying, just staring off into space.

Anna studied the girl as she and her sister, hand in hand, came within view and earshot. "Well now, someone looks sad. We can't let that..."

[Marie Darkholme]

"...happen on our watch," Marie says with a smile, "Perhaps she could use a friend?"

[Anna Raven]

"I think we might be right. Hello," she said as they came within the polite speaking distance. "And what seems..."

[Marie Darkholme]

"...to be the problem?" Marie asks.

[Haley Crusek]

"I'm here already instead of still at home," she grumbled, barely taking notice of the two.

Stupid bitch...she deserved way more than she got. Should've gone all Carrie on her for turning that whole party against me she thought incredibly loudly.

[Marie Darkholme]

"And why exactly..." Marie says.

[Anna Raven]

"...is that a bad thing? Being someplace that you're wanted is usually pleasant."

[Haley Crusek]

Haley looked up finally at the two girls in front of her. "oh...hi," she said, looking between the two, "I'm Haley,"

She sniffled and wiped her face off.

"And...well I dunno. It seems okay here...it was just a had a big last summer at home planned with all of my friends and it got ruined by one backstabbing bitch," she sighed.

[Anna Raven]

"Ohhh, now that isn't nice. We can't..."

[Marie Darkholme]

"...let one of our fellow students suffer that sort of injustice," Marie says.

[Haley Crusek]

"Not much to do about it now," she sighed. "I'm mostly here anyway because of what happened after the fight anyway. Turns out people get upset when you shatter every window in their house," she smirked.

[Anna Raven]

"Only if they know you did it," Anna said innocently.

[Marie Darkholme]

"That's the first rule," Marie agrees, "Never get caught."

[Melody Martens]

"Well...didn't mean to do it. Even if she deserved it. Just kinda...happened while a bunch of people were watching. Kinda need to work on my control," she smirked.

[Anna Raven]

"Well, don't worry about it overly much. If that's what the people were like there, then..."

[Marie Darkholme]

"...we think you'll do much better here," Marie says, "We guarantee it, in fact."

[Haley Crusek]

"Well here's hoping," she smiled weakly. "So...who are you? Do you always finish each others sentences?"

[Anna Raven]

"Sometimes. It tends to..."

[Marie Darkholme]

"...happen when we are close or in direct contact," Marie says, "A side effect of our unique gifts."

"I am Marie," Marie says, "And this..."

[Anna Raven]

"...is Anna," Anna finished. "And you are?"

"I'm Haley," she smiled. "Nice to meet ya...what are your gifts, anyway?

"Besides being..." Marie says, smiling a bit.

[Anna Raven]

"...Able to make anyone around us..."

"... intensely uncomfortable?" Marie finishes, "We share abilities."

"not gonna lie, that is pretty freaky," she smiled nevously.

"But like most mutant abilities..." Marie says.

[Anna Raven]

"...It's rather easy to get used to."

[Haley Crusek]

"I meant the finishing sentences part--or is that your thing too? How does the sharing abilities thing work...do you like...take mine?"

[Anna Raven]

"Oh, no... just from each other. I suppose we..."

[Marie Darkholme]

"...are just closer then most sisters," Marie says with a smirk, "We're classified as a gestalt consciousness. Two minds, two bodies, one person."
