Dana pauses and sits down on the ground. She takes off her sunglasses, even in the dim light Thomas can see her eyes are incredibly bloodshot.
"I am a dead end," Dana explains, "My abilities are slowly destroying my nervous system. I have a 50/50 chance of living to see 30. By 40, I will almost certainly be dead."
"I can not speak for others. But I want the world to remember me when I am gone."

Tommy blushed a little, embarrassed at having fallen for the joke.

After several long moments, Tommy pulls back, the hat falling a little towards his eyes, with a little blush.
"I figured, waiting might not be a good option.." he said, taking a breath.
