Meanwhile, at the "Adult Table"...

Postby Natalya Romanov » Fri Jan 06, 2012 10:04 am

Natalya was standing around answering the occasional question from the few truly concerned parents who were there for the open house. She was dressed in a dark suit and wearing a wireless earpiece. All in all, she managed to project an intimidating demeanor despite her slight build. All in all though, she still looked bored.

Near by Keahi stood shaking hands and doing her share of question answering. Since she was greeting first year parents she was wearing her image inducer. Once the crowd had thinned and the parents were milling about, Keahi made her way over to Nataliya.

"You look near frightening and official. Good job."

"Thank you. I think the parents deal with it better when they learn that scary lady is in charge of security. I think it gets the kids settled too. Hopefully it deters a few troublemakers from the outset."

"For a little while at least. The thing with trouble makers is that trouble gets bored waiting and comes to find them sometimes."

"I'm still not quite sure who did it, but I have a few suspects. Not that it would do much to punish them at this point."

"Well, the obvious punishment would have been to make them clean it up. But I was busy that day and didn't have time to leave it in that state."

Another member of the faculty was milling around the nearby buffet table. He too was dressed in a suit and tie, though his choice of colors was a bit more fanciful than Natalya's.

"Ooh, cocktail weenies? Classy." He enthused.

Just as he was about to put one in his mouth, it turned into a flash frozen weenie-sicle. "Mom? Seriously?"

"Oh, no argument there. But he also drank like a fish and smoked like a chimney. Wasn't a danger to him, but on the other hand, not really a good example to set. But this argument's getting too philosophical for me."
