Glub. Since it wasn't entirely unexpected, Alex didn't have to worry about not having taken a deep breath. But there was the 'what to do about it' that was still a mystery. He twisted toward her in the water, and figured that she had him at an extreme disadvantage, since being underwater was no big thing for her.

Which was why he pulled his leg in to pull him down faster and reached back, intending to find out if aqua-girls were ticklish. He was, apparently, 'it' now, after all.

Kay looked different somehow. No slumped shoulders, somehow more sure of herself in her element. And then there's the flared gills on her neck, the reddish-pink standing out against her pale skin. She did not expect Alex to pull himself in though so she's a little sluggish in trying to move away. A few small bubbles is the only thing letting on that she's ticklish. That and the squirming.

Ah HA! This was, possibly, the only advantage Alex had, so he pressed it. Or at least, as much as any guy who's moderately nervous about touching said girl could press it. he went for her ribs, knowing that he couldn't make her choke underwater being a major advantage.

Kay manages to slip away, her skin not quite slippery in the water but smooth enough to not offer much grip. In her laughing fit she doesn't really manage to get herself together enough to swim away much though.

Alex surfaced for air as he lunged for her. "Ohhh no you don't!" he laughed as he (not too gracefully) splashed toward her.

Aisha had come in to swim, and was now standing at the edge of the pool, wondering if she should say something, or if she should get out before they noticed her.

She takes Alex having to go up for air as a chance to dive deeper to put some distance between the two before surfacing. "Yes I do."

Well, if you can use powers, so can I... And as Kay rushed away, she'd find a blue-glowing figure cutting through the water from the other direction to catch onto her.

"No fair!" she says before letting herself sink down to try and avoid the glowing copy.

Alex couldn't answer, as he was holding his breath to try to catch up to her while she was avoiding his avatar. Not that, y'know, he could do much with it while he was focusing on swimming or focus on swimming while he was doing much with it.

Not that Kay knew that, so she's trying to dodge both of them. Of course even with two people it's hard to pin her down in a world where she can swiftly zip around in three dimensions.

Not that Alex was going to give up. When she got too far away from him, he switched back to making the avatar chase her, trying to cut off whatever direction she was using to get farther away from him while he caught up and was close enough that he could try something himself. All of it, naturally, herding them toward an unassuming point in the pool where no one could possibly be...

Aisha, who was paddling around, trying to ignore the commotion, let out a piercing scream as the avatar crashed into her.

Which, naturally, prompted Alex to bolt upright in the water. "Shit!" he shouted, looking around.

The avatar promptly vanished, too.

Kay swirls around until she spots a somewhat familiar distortion in the surface of the water and slowly surfaces.

Alex sighed. "This is just not my day," he muttered, rubbing the water out of his eyes. "Sorry, Aisha."

"Yeah, I just... shit, I'm an ass," he sighed, making his way toward the edge of the pool, trying to make sure that he wasn't running into invisible girls on the way.

"He's right." she says in a tone that somewhat implies that she means that it was more Alex fault than her own.

Alex gave Kay a look at that, but decided that since she wasn't saying anything, he wasn't going to read too much into it.

And Alex couldn't help it. The situation, with Aisha making some apparently natural assumptions, and Kay frantically denying them... he really did try to control himself. Right up until he snorted a laugh.

Yeah, so much for thinking things might go better this time... "Trying really hard not to be insulted, here. Isn't too easy," he commented, irritably, not really specifying whether he was talking about the 'ew' or the thought of doing something with Kay.
