I9DT - Kay's Room - A Package Arrives

"I wonder if any of the teachers had that problem."

[Kay Haddock]

"I talked a little with Colin's parents and they made it sound like everyone has a bit of trouble at first."

[Theresa McMasters]

"I suppose the school wouldn't exist if they didn't. What were his parents like? I only saw his mom in passing and I wasn't paying attention when my parents talked to her on the first day."

[Kay Haddock]

"They're alright. A little intimidating 'cause, well, she's the headmistress and all, but nice. They took me into the city with Colin which was pretty cool."

[Theresa McMasters]

"That's cool. How'd you like the city?"

[Kay Haddock]

"Little scary to be honest. I had some kinda... image... holograph... thing that made me look like a normal human but it was still huge and loud and full of people."

[Theresa McMasters]

"At least you didn't have to go by yourself."

[Kay Haddock]

"Yeah right, like I'd go to New York by myself in the first place." she chuckles.

[Theresa McMasters]

"I don't know, you could have been the adventurous parkour type." She grinned.

[Kay Haddock]

"Maybe underwater... Not that the pool is all that tricky to navigate."

[Theresa McMasters]

"From what I've heard and read, I wouldn't recommend adventuring in the Hudson."

[Kay Haddock]

"Yeah. Soda was bad enough, god knows what's in there."

[Theresa McMasters]

"I'm not even sure God even knows what's in there," she said with a laugh.

[Kay Haddock]

"The ocean though..."

[Theresa McMasters]

"Does the salt bother you?"

[Kay Haddock]

"I... don't know. I've never been to the ocean. But the chlorine in the pool doesn't so it probably wouldn't either."

[Theresa McMasters]

"Okay, note to self, take Kay to the ocean."

[Kay Haddock]

She chuckles. "Hey, I made it closer already."

[Theresa McMasters]

"One step at a time. Have you talked to Brigid lately?"

[Kay Haddock]

"Not too much. She's on some weird 'eternal night' schedule."

[Theresa McMasters]

"I've been busy for once, so I haven't had a chance lately."

[Kay Haddock]

"I'll make sure she doesn't go stir crazy." she smiles.

[Theresa McMasters]

"Do that. I'd hate for her to be insane when we get to school."

[Kay Haddock]

"No promises. I think she was a little crazy to start with." she chuckles.

[Theresa McMasters]

"Well, she is willingly hanging out with me," Theresa said with a grin. "But then, of course, so are you."

[Kay Haddock]

"Sure, as long as you keep the books and the money coming." she winks.

[Theresa McMasters]

She laughed. "I'll see what I can do."

[Kay Haddock]

"Seriously though, I'm glad. I was... kinda scared when I came here and now it's like I have friends again."

[Theresa McMasters]

"You ever stop to think about how seriously weird this is. A dinosaur-riding girl, a weather witch, and a water nymph all hanging out together? It's awesome!"

[Kay Haddock]

"It's super weird! Though I guess Brigid won't be riding any dinosaurs over here."

[Theresa McMasters]

"No, she'll just be keeping our crazy asses in line."

[Kay Haddock]

"How come the one from a forgotten jungle in Antarctica is the reasonable one?"

[Theresa McMasters]

'Because we haven't had the chance to corrupt her yet?"

[Kay Haddock]

"Yeah but no one corrupted me either." she chuckles.

[Theresa McMasters]

"I guess she's just grown up with strange stuff, so more strange stuff just doesn't phase her."

[Kay Haddock]

"Yeah... that kinda makes sense."
