"None of my friends lasted more than a couple hours after people found out I was a mutant, either," he mused, giving her a little shrug. "Doesn't mean that they still weren't full of shit."

"I didn't think I was friends with assholes. Just... what if they're right."

[Alex Carpenter]

"Well, you can take it from people who don't hate mutants?" he suggested.

[Kay Haddock]

"The people who don't hate mutants are mutants."

[Alex Carpenter]

"Well... I mean, not all of them. They're just... easier to find."

[Kay Haddock]

"Yeah cause they stick out like a sore thumb."

[Alex Carpenter]

"So? So do supermodels, and everyone's just dying to hear what they think."

[Kay Haddock]

"Yeah cause they stand out in a good way."

[Alex Carpenter]

"So just because a bunch of haters that couldn't stick by their friend said so, you're ugly. Any evidence to the contrary."

"Easy for you to say. You still look normal."

[Alex Carpenter]

"And between the two of us, who's been shut down hard in the last twenty-four hours?" he countered.

"I just met you! Do you always think a girl has to want to kiss you immediately?"

[Alex Carpenter]

"Well... no, but I don't think it warranted a disgusted 'fuck no,'" Alex shot back.

[Kay Haddock]

"Maybe it did, maybe it didn't." she crosses her arms.

[Alex Carpenter]

"I thought you said no because you thought we were making fun of you," he shot back.

[Kay Haddock]

"Exactly!"

[Alex Carpenter]

"But... that... we weren't!"

[Kay Haddock]

"You just don't get it."

[Alex Carpenter]

"I... bah! This is why guys settle arguements by hitting each other until they feel better!"

[Kay Haddock]

"Fine!" she harumphs and slaps him across the cheek.

[Alex Carpenter]

Alex blinked, then glared at her.

Then he grabbed her and kissed her.

[Kay Haddock]

Her eyes go wide (wider than they already are anyway) and after a moment of confusion weakly slaps Alex' shoulders before pushing him away. "The hell is wrong with you!?"

[Alex Carpenter]

"Impulse control problems?" he shot back. "You hit me!"

[Kay Haddock]

"Hit you, not.. hit on you!" she glares.

[Alex Carpenter]

"So you'd rather get hit than kissed? I think we've found the real problem here!"

[Kay Haddock]

"What? Are you stupid or something?"

[Alex Carpenter]

"Why does not wanting to get hit make me stupid?"

[Kay Haddock]

"You said you'd rather... Ugh! You're such a guy."

[Alex Carpenter]

"What!? Why, you'd rather get hit? That's stupid!"

[Kay Haddock]

"Maybe I would rather get hit than get kissed by you!"

[Alex Carpenter]

"Well at least I wasn't making fun of you!" he shot back sarcastically.

[Kay Haddock]

"Yeah well why don't you go back to playing with yourself!"

[Alex Carpenter]

Alex blinked. Oh, you little fishy bitch... "I'd hit you for that one if I didn't know you were into that sort of thing!" he shot back.

[Kay Haddock]

"Yeah.... well..... shut up!" They can't all be winners.

[Alex Carpenter]

"Fine!" he shot back, throwing the ball again and not really getting it anywhere near his avatar. "You tell someone they look nice, you fucking get hit! Guess Mutant High isn't any different from normal schools!"

"It certainly has it's share of jerks!" she fumes before stomping off.
