"You'd think that, right? But my brother loves it there, and that got brought up constantly."

[Alex Carpenter]

"And was 'And good luck to him ever finding a wife' ever brought up?" Alex asked curiously. "I'll shut up about it whenever you want, I'm just curious."

"Well it's not exactly... traditional how Dad met Mom."

[Alex Carpenter]

"...I'm trying really hard to come up with a guess that isn't caveman-ish. It's not easy, though."

[Brigid Plunder]

"It's... kind of like Tarzan. Okay, it's a lot like Tarzan. My mom was a zoologist and an explorer."

[Alex Carpenter]

"...And your dad was the human-gone-native living down there. I... they weren't just expecting another odd coincidence to happen for you guys to get any kind of human interaction outside the family, were they?"

[Brigid Plunder]

"It's not like there aren't any humans down there. They're just really primitive, and half of them are mixed up with the Mutates."

[Alex Carpenter]

"That's..."

"I should shut up before I say something bad, shouldn't I."

[Brigid Plunder]

"Yeah... er... formerly known as 'Magneto's Mutates.'"

[Alex Carpenter]

Alex involuntarily glanced in the direction of Uncle Cassiel. "Well I'm glad you convinced them, then," he said, a bit lamely. Thought for the day: just don't talk to her dad, because you'll probably accidentally piss him off. Or your brain will break trying not to.

"Don't suppose you want to trade? I could probably handle crazy lawyer mom."

[Alex Carpenter]

"Yeah, but I don't know if I'm cut out to play dinosaur hunter," Alex said with a smirk.

[Brigid Plunder]

"Oh, it's simple. You just rub their belly." She tried to say with a straight face.

[Alex Carpenter]

"...What about Tyrannosauruses?"

[Brigid Plunder]

"Rub harder," she deadpanned.

[Alex Carpenter]

"Man, you're going to be bored here. Maybe if you get homesick we can find you a buffalo to tame or something," he teased.

[Brigid Plunder]

"You are entirely too amused by this."

[Alex Carpenter]

"I could pretend to be bored, would that be better?"

[Brigid Plunder]

"Well it's that, or I look into whether it's legal to import dinosaur poop for a prank."

[Alex Carpenter]

"If I didn't know you wanted to keep the whole 'Brigid: Super Cavegirl' thing on the downlow, I'd star being afraid right now."

"It would be the biggest flaming bag of poop ever," she said as she stuck her tongue out at him.

[Alex Carpenter]

"See, things like that are good ways to find Cavegirl costumes getting delivered in the mail come Halloween," he commented innocently.

[Brigid Plunder]

"Okay, okay, truce?" She smirked.

[Alex Carpenter]

"Well, I dunno, you'd probably look good in that costume..." he grinned, nodding. "Of course. Truce."

[Brigid Plunder]

She snorted.

"Jerk." She said with a smile.

"That's totally why I need to go shopping this fall though. The normal clothes I have are total dorksauce."

[Alex Carpenter]

"I'm pretty sure it won't be hard to find people that want to have a massive day in town once the parental cords are cut," Alex reasoned, smirking. "If you can find your female input to help you with the shopping, I'm apparently useful for carrying bags." As if to demonstrate, a little glowing figure went walking by in front of him, holding a rock over its head.

"It's like Multiple Man is my porter! This rocks."

[Alex Carpenter]

Alex grinned. "Two sets of hands to order around for the price of one!"

[Brigid Plunder]

"I'll be sure to look you up come fall, okay?"

[Alex Carpenter]

"Sounds good to me. I'll make sure to be easy to find."
