The Bookworm at Hyde Park

Postby Sara McDohl » Tue Jul 07, 2009 2:31 pm

The bookworm made her way through Hyde Park...this was all new to her, she had never even been to this part of town before...well much less any other part..

Aside from other visitors and the sights of the park nothing spectacular is happening for a while. Unbeknownst to Sara she's being observed by a several dozen watchful eyes from the moment they recognized the girl. After maybe 20 minutes of the girl wandering through the park a voice suddenly calls out to her from a nearby tree.
"Good afternoon, Sara McDohl."

"Hello, Teri, how are you today?" She replied, without missing a beat to her step, she wandered over toward the tree quickly.

"As always. We heard you've been stirring up quite a mess around yourself." Teri's actually sitting in the tree 'in the flesh' this time, which reveals the rather obvious scar running over her face. Tucked under her arm is a small packet wrapped in brown paper.

"Yeah, I've been getting into some serious trouble around that Will Stanton and his mistress Evans..." She replied, obviously taking in the scar and the packet..

"Why?" she simply asks, despite already having come to a conclusion about that herself anyway, which her new 'friend' doesn't need to know.

"Oh, I was playing a little game with them, and they didn't take it very well.." Teri could notice that the girl spoke with more slang use of words instead of before which was very proper.

"We'd lecture you on lacking perspective on your actions, but we're fresh out of hopeless advice. What we have instead is a challenge." Unlike her mental voice Teri's regular speech comes with a distinct greek accent to it.

"A....challange?" She asked, not entirely sure if she really should be...

"Don't worry, it's so simple even you will manage to pull it off." she smirks at the girl.

"Hey now..." She smirked back, accepting the 'joke'. "So what is my challange, my dear 'friend' Teri?"

"You know the huge flagpole near the quad?" She tosses the packet down at Sara. From the feel of it the content is soft and most likely some form of fabric.

The girl caught the package, very curious about it. "You want me to hang this up...?"

"We know." she grins. "And while we propably shouldn't encourage it, we're impressed how you managed to skate the edge of your meddling with people's heads being noticed."

"Such a lack of respect for your superiors." she laughs. "Well, you know what to do. We have things to take care of. Apohairetismos, Sara McDohl."
Bursting into locust she bit by bit dissipates in several directions and disappears into the park.
