Sept 18th- Enjoying a movie

[Jessica Temple]

Jess was smiling as they came out of the theatre, both looking a little mussed.

Psycho Carnival Horror 9 wouldn't have been her first choice of a film to see, but with Nina there to 'protect' her, she'd had a good time.

"That was soooo silly" she giggled happily.

[Nina Madaraki]

"Really? I thought it was cool," Nina says, smiling as she walked with Jessica.

[Jessica Temple]

"Ok, maybe it little, but a possessed elephant?"

[Nina Madaraki]

"Elephants are dangerous and stompy," Nina says, "And not everyone keeps mice in their pockets to fend them off."

[Jessica Temple]

"That's true. Have you got one?"

[Nina Madaraki]

"Just a fake rubber one," Nina says, "...Which probably isn't as effective."

[Jessica Temple]

"Why do you have a fake rubber mouse in your pocket?"

[Nina Madaraki]

"In case of elephants," Nina says, "Or cats. It's very multipurpose."

As the girls walk down the road, a few men hanging around in a nearby alley glance at them.

Jess walked on, oblivious to the glances.

"Do you wanna grab a beer or something, or just go home?" she asked, toying with Nina's hair.

[Nina Madaraki]

"A drink might be nice," Nina says, unaware of the men leering at them. One of them smiles and says something to the others and they start following the two girls.

[Jessica Temple]

"Ok, lets see what we can find." Jess replied, before slipping both arms around Nina's waist and kissing her.

[Nina Madaraki]

Nina kisses back briefly, before breaking away, glancing around at the guys that have quickly surrounded the two of them.

"How 'bout getting a drink with us, girls?" One of them asks, the others laughing and leering at the two, "C'mon. It'll be fun. I promise."

[Jessica Temple]

"How about you get lost?" Jess retorted.

[Nina Madaraki]

"C'mon," the guy says, putting his hand on Jessica's shoulder roughly, "I'm asking really nicely..."

Nina glares at the guy, looking a little unsettled about the situation.

[Jessica Temple]

"Don't fucking touch me." Jess said flatly, presently more angry than scared.

[Nina Madaraki]

"Don't be so stuck up," the guy says, pushing Nina away from Jessica.

"Hey! Leave her alone!" Nina shouts, not noticing two of the guys approaching her.

[Jessica Temple]

Now Jess wasgetting scared, She knew she could just shift to galah form, but that would leave Nina to the mercy of their new 'friends'.

Instead, she twisted, aiming a knee at the guys crotch.

[Nina Madaraki]

The guy saw it coming and twisted out of the way, Jessica's knee glancing off of his leg.

"Bitch," he spits out, aiming a slap across her face.

Meanwhile, the other two guys have surrounded Nina, one of them grabbing onto her wrist as she attempted to get away from them.

[Jessica Temple]

Jess took the slap full across the face, reeling to the floor and spitting blood from her mouth.

Desperately, she tried to shift to cat form, but nothing happened.

CHLOE! she yelled mentally, knowing that unless her sister was shifted herself, she wouldn't be able to hear her.

[Nina Madaraki]

There was a set of screams from over where Nina was and the two men fell over, writhing in pain. Nina stood there, her eyes having changed to a strange shade of grey with no pupils. Indistinct forms hung in the air around her and the flapping of wings could be heard faintly.

The man harassing Jessica shot a look over towards Nina, his eyes widening as he saw his comrades on the ground, "What the fuck?"

With no time to worry about the cause of the scream, Jess took advantage of the guys distraction get back to her feet

Once she got there however...

"Nina?"

[Nina Madaraki]

"Suffer" Nina says in a quiet voice and the forms fly towards the man who was threatening Jessica.

From where she is, Jessica can see black butterflies landing on the man's skin. For a moment he looks scared and confused, swatting at them. And then he starts screaming, falling to his knees.

Breathing heavily, Nina walks over to Jessica, pausing for a second like she doesn't recognize the girl. Then the strange color in her eyes fades and she smiles, offering Jessica a hand up.

"Nina?" Jess said again, a little redunantly, before clinging to Nina.

[Nina Madaraki]

"Are you okay?" Nina asks, holding tightly onto Jessica.

[Jessica Temple]

"Yeah, I'm.." Jess paused, turning her head to spit blood onto the sidewalk. "fine?"

[Nina Madaraki]

Nina touches Jessica's cheek gently, sending probes to heal any minor injuries she might have.

[Jessica Temple]

"Oooh, they're tickly." Jess said, trying not to giggle.

[Nina Madaraki]

Nina smiles, hugging Jessica tightly, "I was worried about you."

[Jessica Temple]

"I was worried about you too. I didn't dare shift and leave you on your own with them."

[Nina Madaraki]

"Let's go home," Nina says, quietly, "Please?"

[Jessica Temple]

It wasn't far back to campus, they'd comfortably walked on the way to the theatre, but as soon as they were around a corner Jess flagged down a cab to take them back, holding Nina's hand tightly the whole time.

Nina just followed, acting a bit more spacey then usual.
