Issue 1 Downtime

It might be a bit daring (or at least some humans would call it so) to avoid Mutant Town's dance clubs in favour of a more high-class one in Mayfair but in Nailah's opinion that would be showing a bit too much weakness. And if they wanted to turn heads the two certainly did so coming up to and entering the club. For a variety of reasons. Partially because Sam wasn't exactly unknown (especially after the recent media-attention) and partially because Nailah's clothes did little to hide her mutation, if anything they're accentuating it. The fact that they were, for all intends and purposes, looking smoking hot did the rest.

"No fear, aye?" Samantha grinned as they entered.

"Exactly!"

"Well... maybe after a little liquid courage."

"Don't think that's cheating a bit?"

"Most certainly so." she chuckles. "But alright then."

"You'll do fine, love."

"Oh probably. I'm more worried about apparently putting up a show but I suppose we might as well make it one worth watching." she smirks faintly.

"The key to dancing is not caring if anyone's looking."

"You're the expert." she chuckles.

"Am I? I rather think I'll make a convert of you yet."

"Among the two of us anyway. Now come on, let's go."

"Aye, time to get on with it," she grinned as she stepped out onto the dance floor.

"How did I get talked into this again?" she laughs as she joins Sam on the dance floor.

"As if you're not going to have fun!"

"Never said I wouldn't." she smiles.

"Then I'd say you answered your own question, aye?"

"No. No, I'm still blaming you." she smirks and for some reason decides on that moment to incorporate her wings into the dancing. Someone in the crowd ending up taking a picture of that consists mostly of feathers being entirely coincidental.

"Haven't quite relaxed, have you?"

"Oh I have. Doesn't mean I have to make it easy for them." she grins.

"Tricksy, tricksy you are."

"Maybe a little." she laughs.

"I think you've just made a hobby out of ruining photos and not told me."

"No. Just unfavourable photos of me flailing around, I think."

"Fortunate. I'd hate to think of how photos on holiday would turn out."

"Nothing but wings and feather. Maybe a landmark poking out behind them."

"Ah yes, this is us at the Eiffel Tower. Not that you can tell."

"Oh don't worry. I'm sure you can distract me long enough for someone to take a clear picture." she smiles.

"Ah, yes. I'll just have to make note of where there are obelisks."

"Oh I do believe there is one in Paris." she chuckles.

"That certainly makes trip planning easier."

"The only thing I was planning was finally getting my car shipped over." she smirks.

"Oh, that isn't wise if you're going to be a superhero now. Only ends in tears."

"Maybe I should just leave it in France afterwards..." she ponders.

"Rather traditional for it to be eaten by something large and nasty."

"That would be a shame but it's a risk I'll have to take."

"We shall mourn it when it's gone."

"And here I thought I was supposed to be the one making predictions of horrible things."

"Couldn't let you have all the fun, could I?"

"Just don't grow any wings..." she says, eyeing Sam's back suspiciously over her shoulder.

"That sounds like a challenge."
