Sept 11th - after the salon

Zoe hits the rendezvous point she mentioned in her XUNet profile and checks for text/email/web messages on her phone. She's fresh out of the salon, the tips of her hair newly re-dyed and fingernails nicely manicured. A large cloth bag is draped over her shoulder, currently mostly empty.

She laughs, "Yeah, totally. I've seen some crazy hair colours but I don't think I've ever seen someone match a feather before."

"Totally. Oh, while we're waiting for anyone else to show, I picked this spot 'cuz there's a little jewelry store that had some cool stuff in it, including necklaces with names on 'em. They have most names in loopy letters and glitter and stuff, plus do-it-yourself lettered beads for more obscure names. Chloe's not too rare, I bet they have one like that if you wanted something else to make it clear who you are."

"Oooh, nice! Monkey-boy, right?" She says it with a good-natured tone, more like a nickname and less like a slur of some sort, "I've gotta check out the U peeps more, I've been flirting with some of the Londoners in the clubs but I haven't hooked up with anyone on campus yet."

"Yeah, thats Simon. He doesn't like it if you call him a monkey, though. He's sort of sensitive about it." Chloe said, not sounding scolding, but like she was trying to spare both Simon and Zoe embarrassment "There are a lot of nice people on campus." she continued "Have you met David?"

"No one on campus? You're likely one of the few, then," Victoria mused as she left the salon, her hair and nails done, though obviously not colored (what would be the point?). "It explains the answer for whenever I've started wondering 'where the hell is Zoe, anyway?' though."

"Duly noted. No simian similes for Simon," and she holds up one hand, checking off a point with a finger from the other. As Victoria joins in the conversation, she flashes an impish grin, "Well, with Anita and Ryan going at it all the time, a girl's gotta drown her sorrows somewhere. Might as well be in the London flat of a sculptor. Prolly not gonna have much time for that once classes start though."

And she looks back to Chloe, pursing her lips, "David doesn't ring a bell. What's he look like?"

Victoria just winked at the mention of owing her. "Not a problem, dears. I like to make sure my girls are taken care of," she said. Also, just to amuse herself, she shifted her skin and hair to match Chloe's description of David's.

She smirks at Vickie's antics, "So we might as well get started. People have my contact info if they wanna find us. Both Chloe and me are looking for skirts, and I saw this nice one not too far from here. Should we grab your necklace first and browse around the jewelry store before heading off for them?"

Zoe sidles in as well, moving over a small display of body piercing jewels. She eyes up a few of the navel rings as well as tongue studs.

Chloe quickly found two script necklaces she liked, in silver, one that said 'Jessica' and the other 'Chloe'. "I'll take those." she said to the clerk.

Zoe picks out a cute little tongue stud that has a bright yellow sphere on top with two dots and a curved line to give it the simplest of smiley faces. She tucks the small package into her shopping bag and rejoins the others.

She nods and sticks out her tongue; a flat flesh-coloured stud can be seen upon closer inspection, though it's hard to see to the casual observer, "I put the camouflaged one in when I was traveling and haven't bothered swapping it out for something more funky. I have a few somewhere in my stuff but I haven't bothered unpacking everything yet."

"I had a hell of a time learning how to eat thin noodles again," she laughs, "and I still need to be careful when I'm licking ice cream. Still, it's a fun one, as long as you don't accidentally bite it. I have my belly button pierced too, plus the ears. Always been tempted by nose or brow or lip, not sure if I'll go through with it. Might not be a good idea with the X-Team stuff, kinda risky."

Chloe winced a little bit "I know." she said quietly "Simon isn't even my boyfriend. We're just seeing each other casually, and if he wants to make a date with someone else, its his right. And I wouldn't even know that he was going on a date with her if I hadn't been eavesdropping."

Chloe rolled her eyes. "No thank you." she paused and added "I've tried dating another shifter, too. We hit it off online, but then when we met in person, he said that I smelled like food."
