April 2nd - Shopping for Freaks

[Rima Faheed]

Rima hasn't explored the city all that much yet, but with London's club scene it's not hard to find stores that cater to more unusual clothing tastes, especially in Mutant Town. And so she and Colette don't have to look for long until they find a shop calling itself 'Freak Frocks' in bright neon letters above the stairs leading into the basement-store.

[Colette Rosenhof]

"Ooh, a store in a basement has to be good!" Colette said excitedly. "Zat means it is deviant like ze comic books. I like zat."

[Rima Faheed]

"Really? What kind of comic books do you read?" she laughs as they head down the stairs.

[Colette Rosenhof]

Colette stuck quite close to Rima. Despite her "condition" she seemed to be a very close and physical person, but it could also be due to a bit of nervousness about being different in a new city, even in as accepting a place as Mutant Town.

"Oh you know, ze classics. Tintin, Asterix, Lucky Luke, Uncle Scrooge. My papa would buy zem for me when I was a good girl and we would read zem togezer." She smiled a little bit, sharing some fond memories, opening the door for Rima.

"Did you and your papa read togezer too?"

[Rima Faheed]

Rima chuckles. "And those had seedy basement shops in them? Huh..."

"But no, Dad usually just read me Hodja stories and... what do they call it... fairy tales? But that was when I was still little. And certainly nothing with deviant basements in them!" she laughs as they walk into the store.

[Colette Rosenhof]

"Non non non, ze books came from ze basements." Colette explained. She found English confusing at times. "I liked fairy tales too. My papa read to me a lot when I was very little and did not have as much control as I do now."

Her eyes widened when they stepped inside. "Ze colours...."

[Rima Faheed]

"I'm sure you were a cute little puddle." she giggles.

[Colette Rosenhof]

"Ze cutest little puddle you have ever seen!" Colette giggled, a bit easy going about what some might consider a troubling childhood. Colette was dressed in her public wear, layers of clothes with long colourful gloves and socks under a pleated skirt and peacoat. Her pigtails protruded from under her beanie. She wasn't showing much skin, if you would call it that.

"Ooh, zere is so much clozes." Colette said, staring up at some of the mannequins. She wasn't looking for club wear so much as daily clothes. "Look at zese skirts. Zey are so short and lacy!"

[Rima Faheed]

"So how short and how lacy are we looking for? Like this? Bit more lacy than short." she says, pulling a skirt from a rack and holding it up for Colette.

[Colette Rosenhof]

Colette bit her bottom lip, her eyes going wide and shiny in the black lighting. She had her hands clenched into fists and holding her arms up to her chest in restraint.

"So... pretty...."

[Rima Faheed]

"Well go on, try it on!" she encourages her, holding the skirt to Colette's hips.

[Colette Rosenhof]

Colette looked as excited as a little girl about to get a princess dress. She tried to restrain herself from running into the changing room, forcing herself to stop and pick out a frilled white crisp dress shirt with a pinched waist and flared hem. Her clothing under her peacoat didn't really suit the skirt after all. After a few moments in the dressing room she stepped back out. The dress shirt had short sleeves and the skirt was short enough that the skin between her clothes and her socks & gloves were exposed, showing off the pink goo she was made out of. She bounced on her toes a little bit, the skirt bouncing and defying gravity.

"Ooh, it is so fluffy!" She said with a huge grin, obviously in love with it. "You are a bad woman Rima. I am going to spend so much money today."

[Rima Faheed]

"But that's why we have jobs that pay excellently!" she grins. "And this looks so much better than covering yourself head to toe. I love it!"

[Colette Rosenhof]

Colette blushed a little bit. She slowly pulled her gloves off, exposing her pink gelatin-like arms.

"You really zink so?" She asked.

[Rima Faheed]

"Of course! You're pretty! Don't try to hide that. Maybe..." She rummages through some clothes. "Here, how's this for a compromise?" she asks, holding up a shirt that's part see-through.

[Colette Rosenhof]

Colette blushed a little more.

"Oh my. But zat would be... scandalous."

[Rima Faheed]

"You think so?" she says, looking ponderous. "How bout I try it on and you see how it looks." she says before disappearing into the changing room, starting to pull off her shirt on the way. After a moment she comes back out, now without spikes on her back and wearing the shirt with not much else underneath. Doing a small twirl she throws her arms up in a flourish.

"What do you think?"

[Colette Rosenhof]

"Zat looks fabulous Rima! You must get it for yourself." Colette said.

"It would not look right on me. Regard." She lifted up the bottom of the white shirt she was wearing, showing that, by default, she didn't have a belly button.

[Rima Faheed]

"You're right, says so right on the little label thing. 'Only wear with belly-button.'" she snickers. "But I do like it." she says, looking down at herself and brushing down her front to straighten the shirt.

[Colette Rosenhof]

"It is very flattering on you." Colette said. "You have a good figure for clingy clozes, it emphasizes your curves and ze way it stretches makes zem look more impressive."

[Rima Faheed]

"It does make my boobs look great, doesn't it?" she says, peering down at the aforementioned assets.

[Colette Rosenhof]

Colette's face flushed a little bit.

"Fabulous. Traffic accident enducing."

[Rima Faheed]

"And sold!" she laughs. "Alright, so less adventurous for you maybe..." she looks around until something catches her eyes.

"Now don't tell me this doesn't fit to you." she says, pulling another shirt from a rack.

[Colette Rosenhof]

Colette tilted her head a bit, pigtails flopping as she examined the top.

"It looks like somezing from ze Fifth Element." She said. It wasn't a bad thing, from the sound of her voice. Holding it up and examining it for a bit she popped into the change room and came out, bare pink shoulders exposed.

"Is it too much black?" She asked.

[Rima Faheed]

"I think the pink works well to off-set it." she says. "And the shirt isn't entirely black either." she smirks. "Maybe a third colour would work better though for contrast..." she muses, tapping her lips with a finger.

[Colette Rosenhof]

Colette gave a little spin to show off how she looked, her skirt rising enough to show more of her thighs. And a bit further up too. White with blue stripes.

[Rima Faheed]

"Definitely buy the skirt at least." she giggles, maybe enjoying the view a bit too much.

[Colette Rosenhof]

Colette stopped spinning, apparently distracted by something.

"Ooh, maybe zis will work."

She ducked into the changing room, coming out the white dress shirt from earlier and a unique vest which emphasized her own curves in a different way.

"What do you zink?"

[Rima Faheed]

"Ooh, pretty! And now all you need to draw more attention is a good hug." she grins, doing just that by wrapping her arms around Colette's midsection from behind.

[Colette Rosenhof]

Colette eeped at the tight squeeze, her chest bubbling out of the hole at the front of the vest and hips flaring as her mass was displaced. She squealed and giggled loudly, probably attracting a bit of unwanted attention in the store.

"You are so naughty!" She giggled wildly, probably not meaning the word in the same way Rima would interpret it.

[Rima Faheed]

"Sorry, couldn't resist." she snickers, letting go of Colette after a moment.

[Colette Rosenhof]

Colette was still giggling a bit, her body keeping her proportions for a few moments before slowly resettling.

"Well I zink zis means we have some definite must-buys, yes?"

[Rima Faheed]

"Oh definitely. This was already very successf--ooh! I need to try that one on!" she exclaims and points at the outfit on one of the mannequins she just spotted. "Be right back!"

She scurries off and zips around the store for a moment before disappearing into the changing rooms and returning with the top, mini-skirt and gloves on.

[Colette Rosenhof]

Colette applauded Rima when she exited the changing room.

"It is perfect! Zat outfit is you! You must buy it you simply must."

Colette looked at the two of them in the large mirror outside the changing area.

"... I am tempted to wear zese out of ze store."

[Rima Faheed]

"Only if I manage to find shoes to go with it." she nods, tugging at the hem of the vest but obviously pleased with how it looks on her.

[Colette Rosenhof]

"Zat is why you need boots." Colette said, modeling hers a bit. "Wiz long clozes they are practical. With short clozes they are punk and badass."

[Rima Faheed]

"Practical schmactical." she says as they wander towards the boots section. "Maybe a bit much?" she ponders, picking up a pair.

[Colette Rosenhof]

"Mmm perhaps. But more is better, non? We only live once, doing too much is better zan not enough."

[Rima Faheed]

"No, no I don't think these work..." she says and keeps looking until she finds a pair of knee-high high-heels in a closed design. "This is much more promising."

[Colette Rosenhof]

"Oooh, zose are nice." Colette agreed.
