"I keep setting you up, too," Will sighed, shaking his head. "Oh well. What did you want to see first?"

"Well there's a couple things you really should see the first time here, like the Rosetta Stone."

"Yeah..." she just says as the two wander through the exhibition quietly for a while, eventually coming up to the glass case the Rosetta Stone is sitting in.

"Yeah, it's amazing. Makes me wonder if I should have gone into this kind of thing, you know? I bet I'd be great at finding things in the ground and getting them out."

"You probably would, yeah--a treasure hunter," he smiled.

"Can you imagine? Maybe in two thousand years we'll forget English and have to work backwards to figure it out.

Maybe I should write my script in multiple languages....and carve it into a big ol' rock."

"Probably safer to use metal. It's lucky the stone is so well preserved."

"And it was a complete accident, too, that they found it--really amazing. All the best things seem to happen by accident."

"Seems like it." she smiles, putting a hand on her stomach. "Let's hope no one'll need a Rosetta Stone for English though. But did you know there's actually an institute solely for preserving the development of the language so it can be traced back?"

"No, but, well it's kinda so there's someone around who can translate all the warnings around Yucca Mountain in a thousand years, so it could be for a better cause..."

"Right. This, of course, is the Rosetta Stone, discovered by Joey Rosetta in a warehouse in New Jersey. It's from the Ptolemaic era, where New Jersey was, of course, under the rule of Governor Ptol. Governor Ptol was, of course, of Russian descent, explaining these nesting dolls."

This, of course, is the work order the governor signed, allowing Rosetta to remove the stone from it's crate, without paying the necessary export taxes, which is why it's in the British Museum today. The guy's heart on the scale, there, is the typical tax in New Jersey.

And here's the governor himself. Quite please, he's resting."

"Wow, I didn't know New Jersey valued art in their official documents so much. So why was Ptol entombed like that?" she asks, trying not to laugh.
