A kilometer or so from the campus along the river, there was a flurry of construction at an older storage building that had been unused for a prolonged period of time, but was quite active now.
Contractors were moving in an out, and several trucks dropped off equipment at all hours of the day. However the area remained closed off and the windows were covered, lending an air of mystery.

Several days,, Bobby popped in to look over the progress, taking the time to supervise the unloading and placement of equipment, as well as the progress of the restoration work.
All in all, things were progressing very well.

And then, on the fourth of March, the blinds came down.. And "BrassWorks Automotive" was open for business.
Bobby smiled, looking at his new life chapter.
"Well, that's that. Time to make my mark."

Shortly after, Madrox walked in the door.
"Nice," he grinned.

"Maddie! Thanks for coming by!"
Bobby smiled, shaking his friend's hand.
"You found the place okay?"

"I can access Google Maps in my head, getting lost is hard," he chuckled with a smirk.

"Ah, please. Even GPS gets these narrow London roads wrong sometimes!"
Bobby chuckled, before grabbing a tissue and blowing, leaving some brass colored mucous for the trash.

"Oh, thanks, Amanda!"
Bobby smiled, tossing the used tissue in the garbage.
"It took a while, but it all came together finally."

"Speaking of that, your Dad and I were wondering if you wanted to go out to dinner to celebrate the opening of your shop." Amanda replied.

"So, what can do for my best friend?"

"Well.. What did you have in mind? I can customize just about anything you could imagine. For you, I picture something fast. A racing motorcycle, maybe."

"I was thinking an actual car. My tech toys need the trunk space."

"Everyone needs the trunk space."
Bobby smiled, heading behind the counter.
"Well, I don't have too much to offer in terms of cars at the moment- my inventory hasn't came through yet. But I'll make you a deal: Find an old wreck that piques your love. I'll make it shine, make it something special. Something that will always be seen on the street, causing people to go "See that? That's Maddie's ride."

Bobby smiled, pulling down some paint.

Bobby smirked, turning back.
"I'll let you help with the really complex stuff, though."

"Yes, it will be.. sweet."
Bobby took down a color kit
"So, what are your colors?" Blue and gold, the traditional X-Men colors? A flame with red and orange? Technical steel and blue?"

"...huh. that would take a lot of extra time, plus the British road rules might need to be reviewed, but I suppose I could armor it up.."
