"Here we are." Chloe said, smiling at Simon as they arrived at the entrance to the park.

"Wow, this place is massive!" Simon looked around in awe. After being confined in London's mix of old brick buildings and massive skyscrapers it was a welcome change to visit a place that had a bit of greenery. He reached for his wallet, plucking out enough to pay for the both of them.

"It's the least I can do. It was rather kind of you to offer in the first place." Simon's tail twitched back and forth slowly in a calm sway, his hands in the pockets of his brown coat. "What happened there?" he asked, his tail pointing over his shoulder at the ruins before them."

"There was a fire, sometime in the 1930's, I think. The Crystal Palace burned to the ground, that is all that is left."

"Geeze, that's a shame. From the name I'd assume it was a pretty impressive spot.

"Not that it isn't now, you know." Simon smiled sheepishly.

"I'd love to have been able to see it in its glory." Chloe replied "It was a huge exhibition hall, entirely out of glass and metal. Of course, now that isn't that exciting, but it was a new idea at the time." she smiled at him "But lets go see the dinosaurs."

"Absolutely." Simon grinned even wider. "Race ya." He gave Chloe a little push to the side and started running downhill, though not at a terribly fast pace.

Laughing, Chloe started running herself, reaching the bottom of the hill at about the same time as Simon.

Simon caught a glimpse of one of the first statues, unable to hide his smile. "dinosaur" he whispered, as though it were alive and they were on safari.

Simon suddenly laughed loud and hard, leaning to the side slightly instead of taking his hands out of his pockets. It took him a moment to calm down a bit.

"Oh God... I think I just found out what I'm going to be on Halloween."

It was Simon's turn to blush. "I'd like that very much Chloe. I'd be..." he muttered softly, looking a little awkward.

"I'm sorry. I know it sounds pathetic or like a cheesy line, but I'm not really used to talking to such beautiful women."

"Ugh, reality always messes up fantasy." Simon said. "Authors are flawed but their works are great, these dinosaurs are disproved by science, having powers isn't like in the comic books."
