Dinner with Daddy

[Victoria Valentine]

Since she'd been instructed to make sure that he wasn't busy, it wouldn't really be a surprise to Dom when Victoria knocked on his door.

Lumis opens the door. He's wearing designer clothes, a forest green shirt and chocolate colored slacks. He smiles, and welcomes Victoria in.

"Victoria, come in. How are you this evening?"

The apartment is... large. It's a penthouse overlooking the Thames. The front room has some nice statuary and a place to put mail, as well as the intercom. From there, down a few steps is the large, open living room with a polished hardwood floor. The furniture is leather and brass, or polished hardwood. It's open and sparse, a design that keeps the room full of a lot of light.

The entire riverside wall is windows in that room, looking out on the water and the skyline.

"Very good, thank you," she said politely as she entered. She had a paper grocery bag in her hand. She turned to face him, giving her very innocent, appologetic eyes. "I know that I was a bad girl, hurting that man yesterday. So I thought that the least I could do to make it up to you is make you dinner, Daddy." She was dressed like every red-blooded (or green-blooded, or blu- you get the picture) man's illicit schoolgirl fantasy, and gave him a cute little smile as she turned again and headed toward his kitchen.

Lumis shakes his head and laughs. He gives Victoria a swat on the rear as he closes the door, and shows her the way to the kitchen. She has to walk through the dining room, with a nice large table and crystal chandelier to get there. The kitchen has beautiful Spanish tile on the floor, light wood and granite counter tops, and stainless steel appliances.

What it doesn't have much of, as Victoria will discover if she opens the fridge, is actual food. There are spices, and a few staples that don't go bad easily like rice, but no meat, no dairy, nothing that has to be eaten on a schedule other than citrus fruit.

"You're welcome to make dinner but I don't have much here. I can have the staff send up whatever you need, I suppose."

"That would be why I went to the store first, silly," she said, teasingly. "Mommy taught me never to trust the food a man has in his kitchen if I'm going to cook, even if he is smart and sophisticated and... well, you know all the things I could say about you."

Victoria dropped the 'little girl' act for a bit as she unpacked the bag. "Seriously, though... am I in any trouble for smacking that dipshit's head into the table?"

"Not more than you already know about. You got yelled at, and I'll be watching you more closely. That's it, unless you do it again."

Lumis smirks. "I'm only a little dissapointed that you didn't get my hint."

[Victoria Valentine]

"Oh? Which hint was that? Everything is a hint."

[Domanic Taylor]

"That we don't do physical interrogations at the University."

Lumis uncorks a bottle and pours a couple of glasses of white wine, handing one to Victoria.

"Thank you," she said, taking the wine and sorting through teh things she'd brought. "Oh, I picked that one up, but do you honestly think I'm going to wait until he's off campus to beat him around? I mean... yes, I wanted a shot in for the knock he gave my throat, but he wasn't important enough to chase down."

She pondered as she went through the cupboards for pots. "Mind you, after what he said, I'm willing to reevaluate."

"I told people that hate him where he is, and gave him a head start. He's probably in Ireland right now, heading for an abandoned barn or the like."

Lumis sips his wine, leans against the counter.

[Victoria Valentine]

"Yes, but I like to do some jobs myself instead of outsourcing," she said with a smirk. From the look of the stuff she'd brought, she was planning on making some sort of steak alfredo. "You can eat normally, right? The empty fridge wasn't a big glaring hint that you were waiting for me to figure out?"

"Don't expect me to eat big portions, but yes, I'm capable of eating."

[Victoria Valentine]

She looked up in amusement, seeming amused. "Do you enjoy eating?"

[Domanic Taylor]

Lumis nods. "Most of the time. As long as I don't try to eat too much." He stretches. "Would you like some music?"

[Victoria Valentine]

"Whatever you'd like," she said, reverting to the innocent little girl voice as she set the pans out and started preparing the meal.

"Aurora, some music please. Something classical or faux classical, but soft. We're talking."

"My pleasure, Lumis." Light music plays, softly filling in the background.

"Need any help? I know you're making it for me, but I don't mind helping."

[Victoria Valentine]

"I have a spatula, and I'm not afraid to use it," Victoria said with a smirk. "If that can't fend you off, I'll stop cooking and go get my whip."

[Domanic Taylor]

Lumis nods, smiles. "You're a beautiful girl, Victoria. I can offer you a lot of things. What do you want?" He reaches out and gently brushes some hair behind Victoria's ear.

[Victoria Valentine]

She chuckled, but didn't seem to have much of a reaction to his touch. "I bet you say that to all the girls," she said, rubbing seasoning on the meat before arranging it in a pan.

"I tell them all that they're beautiful, that's true. On the other hand, I only date beautiful women like yourself. The second bit doesn't come up very often. I either am with someone who is close enough to my equal not to need my help, or I don't care enough about the woman."

"If all you want from me is a fling, that's fine. I'm happy with that. But if you want more, I could offer it to you."

Victoria smiled, then reached back, hooking her finger under Dom's collar, then pulled him forward until she could lean her lips back to his ear. "I thought you said that this was inapropriate, Daddy," she whispered, giving his ear a little bite before letting go of him.

"It is." Lumis takes hold of the back of Victoria's neck posessively. "I wanted to be sure you knew that before we went forward with it. You didn't answer my question, though."

[Victoria Valentine]

"Maybe I haven't decided yet," she said, closing her eyes, evidently liking the way he grabbed her. "Now do that thing with your power, like you did yesterday," she added, a little purr in her voice.

[Domanic Taylor]

"Why would I do that, when I can do something much more interesting?" A tiny, needle-thin beam of light flashes off Lumis's hand, causing a tiny burn right over a nerve. The flash of pain is instant, a sense of penetrating heat. The damage is unnoticeable.

[Victoria Valentine]

Victoria actually let out a little surprised cry, melting back into him. "Do it again, Daddy," she whispered. "I've been a bad girl..."

[Domanic Taylor]

"You'll have to explain to me why you like this so much, sometime." Three more needle-like bolts of light hit Victoria, tiny burns that blossom with pain but fade quickly.

[Victoria Valentine]

"Because I... can't... feel things," she gasped. "I'm... half numb. Pain helps me feel things."

[Domanic Taylor]

Lumis traces a line of burning sensation down Victoria's cheek, stopping at her collarbone. "Your steak is burning."

[Victoria Valentine]

She gasped, pulling away from him, grabbing at the spatula, turning the meat to see that it thankfully wasn't burned, but only just. "I hope you didn't want your steak rare, Daddy," she said, a little pouty, as she checked on the pasta and sauce that, in her current state, she couldn't even remember putting on.

"I'm not a big meat-eater anymore, so don't worry about it." He strokes the back of Victoria's neck to see if she really is more sensitive now.

[Victoria Valentine]

He would find that she was, at least a bit more sensitive. The pain had sensitized her, but the lack of anything lingering kept her from feeling as sensitive as she might have been. Nevertheless, he did manage to get a little shiver out of her as she stirred the sauce.

"I see I'm going to have to be more rough with you."

[Victoria Valentine]

"Like I said, Daddy, I've been a bad girl. I need to be punished," she answered, glancing back at him to smile naughtily.

Lumis reaches out to grab Victoria's wrist, and hold her hand right over the lip of the hot saucepan. Another half inch down, and her flesh would be in contact with the hot metal.

"I see that more and more."

[Victoria Valentine]

Victoria glanced down at the pan, then curiously over her shoulder at Dom. "And is this how you punish your little girl, Daddy?" she asked, her tone changing to convery the unspoken 'you'd better know what the fuck you're doing' that was in her mind.

"It's all about the anticipation." Lumis waits a few more moments, and brushes Victoria's hand across the metal, creating a minor but painful burn.

[Victoria Valentine]

Victoria gasped, biting her lower lip, but the corners of her mouth tugging up in a smile. "Thank you, Daddy," she said in a husky voice. She turned her head and kissed the edge of Dom's jaw. "But if I'm not going to burn this, maybe you should punish me after dinner. After all... Mommy wouldn't approve of me ruining a good meal."

Lumis swats Victoria on the rear. "Finish up then."

[Victoria Valentine]

Victoria gave a little girlish giggle. "Yes, Daddy," she said, getting back to work.

It wasn't too much longer before she set the food out on the table, some being left for later in the kitchen since Dom said he wouldn't eat much.

Lumis sits down, after bringing the wine over. "It smells great." Once Victoria has sat, he takes a bite, smiles.
