Careful Ministrations

The morning found Daniel seated in a diner in mutant town, once again immersed in his power.

This time, he was practicing... this time he was being super careful. The people he was working on he was working on slowly, making more subtle changes, being sure that as he worked, he wasn't erasing anything that would hurt them, and not creating any changes that would would disrupt the flow of their minds or their lives.

"And there are also plenty who would love help but won't bring themselves to ask for it," he pointed out, motioning for the waitress to come back over to where he was sitting. He nodded toward Kyra for her. "My tab."

Given the unsubtle nature of Daniel's first attempts at using Kyra's power, Ms. McManus had noticed a few of the individuals he'd altered. Though he'd been getting better in recent days, her concern was already raised, and thus she'd started to recognize his signature, such as it was.

As a result, it was likely that both Kyra and Daniel sensed her arrival in the area, walking the streets of Mutant Town outside. She had been doing her best to repair damage where she'd found it, and this had brought her to Daniel's latest ~~victim~~ "patient."

Today, Sam wouldn't find any damage. The things Daniel had been doing were so minor, and he'd been careful, that there hadn't been any need for anything that could damage. Still, he turned his head involuntarily as he felt her presence. "Fuck. Her again," he scowled.

Ms. McManus was thankfully out of earshot, and hadn't had the chance yet to appreciate Kyra's... unique... perspective on the struggle between humans and mutants.
